Today is Thanksgiving Day in Canada.

Contemplating the differences between last year's and this year's Thanksgivng Day, I sighed.

Puttering around in the house, I finally sat down to read the online news.

The headline caught my attention: So much to be thankful for, cancer victim says.

Yet another very inspiring story... Be thankful and Never give up.

rah-rah to all tripawds and pawrents.

That's right! Happy Thanksgiving Day to you! Enjoy the day.

That was a beautiful article, thanks for posting it. She is so right; we have so much to be thankful for, if we just stop to look around and really appreciate all that we have, even the little things. It's not until those little things are threatened and might disappear do we realize how much they mean.

Rah rah is right, many cheers to everyone here at Tripawds! Smile

How perfect Jessie...thank you for sharing the pawsitive article and Happy Thanksgiving to you. I needed this...

We've been up at the mountains this weekend in Western Maryland and the fall colors have been amazing and the weather has been perfect...sunny and warm with a slight chill in the air of fall. I spent a lot of the weekend outside reflecting and being so thankful for all the wonderful blessings in my life and trying to shake the fear of the inevitable - my loved ones being taken from me...which has seemed to take a hold of me lately. I'm trying to find that inner peace again - I haven't been taking my own advice of living in the moment and staying upbeat and positive, this article really helped me this evening. Thank you Smile

Much love,

Heather

Thank you...  I would like to side track  & remind everyone that there can't be a number 2 without a number 1. As a pawrent I find myself taking better care sometimes of Buster then myself.  Very conscientious of his diet, supplements & health care. ...

Please take care of number 1 also. October is breast cancer awareness month ... I know first hand having lost my grandmother to this cancer & I have various types of cancer that run in my family that early detection saves lives. To pawrents everywhere make that appointment now... our loved ones are depending on it!
Everyday is a blessing... Honoring all those who have fought this battle  & have lead by example. Miss ya Jerry...

Lovely article and soo true.

Thank you for the reminder Okim.  Yes I definitely spend much more time, energy and money on my dogs, their diets and their health then I do on myself.  I needed that reminder as much as anyone.

Kim, you're so right. My Mom and Dad didn't think twice about taking me to the vet or what meds cost, but for them, they tended to put themselves last when it came to health care.

Thank you for that reminder that caregivers need to look out for themselves too.

We love you!
