Shelby and I got to meet Beth & Rick today...........what beautiful, wonderful people. We shared laughter, a few tears and I think my silly willing Tripawd girl brought some smiles to their faces. (Girlfriend knows how to WORK IT!)
Hoping Beth will post pics as (a) it was Rick's camera and (b) Shelby's mom stoopidly still can't figure out how to post pics here!
Yes! We want to see pics!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
ooo, yes, we want pics!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Wow! Seriously? How cool!
I love how Tripawd families are meeting up all over the place, this is beautiful. We can't wait to see photos!

I haven't forgotten and will post photos tomorrow! We have been so busy lazing in the Florida sun and getting to happy hours that time has flown since our wonderful visit with sweet, sweet Shelby and her equally sweet mom, Pam. I am so grateful to Pam, who was one of the first to offer support during our bittersweet journey with Sammy. She has been a kind and inspirational friend, and the work she does in rescuing Goldens (and others) is awesome.
Shelby is adorable and did, indeed, lift our spirits. And, Pam, I am so glad you found your keys!
Hugs,
Beth, Rick and Spirit Smilin' Sammy
P.S. Don't expect much from the photos ... Rick took them and he is camera-challenged. My job was to try to stay out of the photos so I don't scare people!
Smilin' Sammy, March 16, 2004 – Dec. 5, 2011
Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
Well, if you post those dreadful photos of me giving Mr. Rick STINK EYE, I'll have to come up to the Villages and clobber you! Don't know if you saw on FB or on my thread here, but Phoebe's tumors were cancerous but we got clean margins and she's doing great. So now I have TWO of my golden girls out there whooping cancer's big fat ***!
OK, OK — here goes, but I haven't yet figured out how to get the cutlines to transfer with the photos. I may have to punt (Super Bowl talk) and use the edit feature 57 times!!!
Because I can''t get the captions to trasfer with the photos I will just add them to the top …
1. Pam, facing the camera, Shelby and the back of Beth''s head (her better side)
2. Shelby, who is a darling little food ''ho, kisses up to the server
3. Pam and Beth talk, but Shelby wants to flirt with Rick and the camera
4. Beth (now missing the top part of her head — remember, Rick took the photos) talks with Pam, but can''t take her hands off the golden. Shelby's tongue has a black spot, just like Spirit Smilin'' Sammy's did!
5. Shelby, all dressed up in her vest and scarf, makes goo-goo eyes at Rick

Geesh, that was much harder than it should have been. Can anybody tell me how to get the photo cutlines to transfer with the photos?
How do you get the photos to stay in the position you placed them on the page? I spent a long time resizing them, designating them to a right, left or center position and fitting them them together, only to find that every time I "posted," the photos moved into a vertical single file and, sometimes, out of order! What's up with that????
Also, is there an easier way to resize than using "scale" and dividing the first number (which, in turn, automatically resizes the second number)? Somewhere it said something about resizing by pixels but I didn't understand what they meant (and I am no novice to layout). It wasn't clear whether one was resizing to a smaller or larger reproduction — or whether we were resizing for resolution or size!
It would be much easier to draw a photo box, then flow the photo into it. Is that an option?
