Hi Everyone,
Noson Llawen (as we Welsh say) "Happy Xmas".
Serge turned 1 year yesterday (Xmas Day).. Of all things, howling wind, temp up to 14 Deg C, and torrential rain, which washed all the snow away. Extremely unusual for this part of Canada..
However, today it is still windy, but 15 Degrees colder already. Some birthday pictures of Serge (and our older GSD Raven, who turned 5 in Nov).. Serge decided that it would be a "reclining" day. I hope that Santa was good to you all !! (pawrents as well)
The white bags in the background of the last picture are wood pellets for the stove. The heat ensures that they stay dry
Have a great (and safe ) Christmas holiday, and New Year...

Hooray for you. Serge! We share an awesome birth date. Hope your humans got you cake. Mine did! Happy birthday and keep them coming.
Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Happy 1st Birthday, handsome Serge, and belated Happy 5th Birthday to sister Raven, you both look so beautiful, warm, and comfy on your sofa!! May you both have many more happy years ahead!

My apologies everyone for my mistake (in my mother tongue).... I must have been half asleep when I wrote the post.. I only just noticed my "lapse" ....The Welsh for "Merry Xmas" is "Nadolig Llawen"..... .."Noson Llawen": is a phrase used to describe a party with music, similar to a ceilidh...
BTW, you can imagine how many people asked why we didn't name Serge after a more famous birth, that took place at Christmas a long time ago....LOL !!!!

05/04/2006 - Bosch, Sassy's pal, earned his wings 03/29/19 fought cancer for 4 months.

I found an very injured Buzzard on Christmas Day on my property. A hunter's gun shattered beak , wing, and foot...vet patched him as best he could...had some help building him a huge "buzzard compound" where he lived a peaceful life in comfort and being hand feed every day for the first few months until he mastered it on his own....He passed away i n his sleep kn Christmas Day three years later.
And yes, I named him.....Baby Jesus...called him BJ for short! 
And yes, he would hop out to greet me when I called him!

Sally, you ARE an angel on earth.....God bless you for your amazing acts of kindness to all creatures, 2, 3, and 4 legged......this post made me laugh and cry, but you can believe that buzzard lived well while being with you!!

Sally, your story brought tears to my eyes. To think that you would take an injured buzzard to the vet and take care of it for 3 years seriously made my heart turn to mush. You are truly an incredible person.

Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
