Well, I'm sorry but I'm breaking out the treats and celebrating Sammy's big day!!! And I'm going to eat cookies while I'm tappy toeing around the house! It's a "Mr. Happy Tappy Toe" DAY!
4 months, sad or not needs to celebrated with gusto!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Thanks Rubyaz, we are doing our best!
Caties mom, I so agree. I think every once in a blue moon you need to get it out, and immersing yourself in a good movie is a great way to do it. I will watch Hatchi, it sounds perfect.
Comet, you always make me smile, like sunlight peeking out after a storm. Thanks for helping to keep it "light".
Hugs and thanks to you all,
Elizabeth and Sammy

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Elizabeth and Sammy -
First off, congratulations on your big day. I hope you celebrated with champagne and cookies and cheese and candles and naps and hugs and love. We were with you in spirit, for sure.
Elizabeth, I echo your sentiment about the other tripawd losses. I'm having a hard time finding my mojo when all I can think about is how I would feel if Lincoln's name were on that list. We're doing our best to honor everyone, though, both present and past by remembering them. You are obviously doing the same and I'm finding some comfort knowing you are in the exact same emotional place as I am.
Kisses and hugs to Sammy. We HAVE to get together soon so Sammy can hang with his bestie, Lincoln, and you can meet our new girl, Quinlay (who did come from a shelter).
I truly can't believe it's only been four months for Sammy. Seeems like we've know you forever!

Sammy, I hope you enjoyed the movie and maybe even some popcorn? Trouble loves popcorn.
It is important even when we are sad as a community, we praise the ampuversaries. They are our hope and our light, and are no way meant in disrespect of a lost warrior. It is in the warrior spirit, we must go on.
Belated happy ampuversary, Sammy. You are a special one, and I hope to wish you many, many more ampuversaries in the future.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Happy Belated ampuversary Sammy! I am just getting around to celebrating Chloe's 5 month (the day before yours) since we have been supaw busy this holiday season! Keep it up boy!

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog

Cherry's dad's post made me fairly melancholy this morning. A candle for all of our fallen heroes, our loved ones.
Sorry about that. Reaching the one year since my loss of Cherry anniversary kind of put me further into a black mood. I will try to suck-it-up and get back to more positive, as my Charities would like. Just need to take a truck ride and feel her presence.
However, there is nothing more uplifting than celebrating an ampuversary. Four months is definately cause for a Pawrty. Even if you have your reasons for passing on the Ice Cream, there are plenty of excellent alternative special treats. I have to agree that popcorn and a movie sound like a great way to spend an evening. Considering the fact that we have had another two days of rain, I am afraid that you will have more oppertunity for hunkering down from the elements.
But more importantly, Hurray for Sammy! We will be celebrating in our usual way including a special toast for Sammy and Tasha. Ampuversaries can always lift ones spirits and put smiles on ones face. A New Year's Resolution - NEVER miss an ampuversary celebration posting. The community can always use positive news.

Hi Elizabeth & Sammy - Whoo hoo for 4 months!! That's fantastic & hope you celebrate many many more ampuversarys. I miss seeing Sammy's avatar - it always makes it smile!!
We love the Tripawds family. We celebrate at times like these and we weep with those who weep. We're still so heartbroken that we lost Honey in September and miss her every day, moment by moment. We're thrilled and happy that Sammy is doing well.
Keep on fighting, Sammy!
Lots of hugs & cheers,

You people and puppies are all so wonderful! Thanks so much for your care and good wishes.
Cherry's dad, don't worry, I would have had the same reaction when admin posted the wall of hero's anyway. I send a hug your way and hope that we all can get back to the joy of the moments we do have.
I never got a chance to watch a movie and cry, but I look forward to the time that I do. Sammy and I spent the day playing and he worked hard to make me laugh throughout our afternoon together. He is so special. He has a light in him that is like a young child, just thrilled to see and do all that he can and he always wants to share it with me. Love is a beautiful thing!
Lincolns mom, I hope we can get together, maybe in Feburary when I have a week off, and spend some time letting the boys hang out and get to know your beautiful new girl. I think that would be awesome.
Alexi, Jerry,, thank you for taking the time to celebrate our time. Your comments always make me happy 🙂
Honeygurl, I remember and I wish so much that I could give you guys more time together. I know that someday someone will find a cure for bone cancer, but we are losing so many precious souls along the way. Sammy and I will keep fighting this and I wish more than I have ever wished for anything that they find that cure before it is too late for us. In the meantime, I will hug him for everyone and be grateful for what I have.
