I'm so proud of my Sadie bear! She had her 2nd chemo on Thursday, and Saturday (in 15 minutes) is her 1 month ampuversary! So far, things are looking pretty good. No side effects from the chemo (I almost wonder if they're not giving her enough – not really, just greatful that she's tolerating it so far) Her fur is growing back pretty well and her alk phos level is almost back to normal (it was extremely high before her biopsy). I just wish I was better at helping her in and out of the car. The webmaster harness is great (Sadie's oncologist was really impressed with it), but I haven't got the hang of it yet. Anyway, I know a doggie who has some steak in her future " /> I love you Sadie!
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

That is a wonderful update for a one month ampuversary. Sadie is a lucky girl to get steak for a celebratory meal. Hoppy Ampuversary Sadie! Waiting to see many, many more celebrations over the months.

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Hoppy Ampuversary Tripawd Girl! Congratulations!
Aww, don't worry about the car thing, you two will get the hang of it. Just get your peeps to take you out to the park every single day, that should do it!

Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
YIPPY SKIPPY! Sadie!
We are all going to celebrate in your honor!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
You're awesome Sadie! Happy Ampuversary.
Enjoy that steak I think you're on to something there.
Love and kisses,
Tai and Laura
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
Thank you so much for the good wishes and happy thoughts. I had all kinds of extra energy today and I think it was because of everyone's positive energy (or maybe it was the steak 😉 ) I even made an admirable attempt at kicking my sissy's butt like I used to (I can tell she misses me ) Mom told me that if she could, she would cook steaks on the grill for all of my new friends here on tripawds. I can hardly wait 'till my 2 month ampuversary!
Love and big sloppy kisses'
Sadie

Roohoo! Way to go Sadie!!! We allllllllll really should eat steak in honor of your ampuversary. In fact, EVERY ampuversary on Tripawds deserves that kind of recognition, right Mom?
GerrysMom says -
They sure do, and when you get that job as Greeter at Mounds Petfood Warehouse, you can buy the steaks.
Gerry says -
Awww nuts. I don't think they were really hiring. I did show off my skills when we went to get food and treats there today. Mom was trying to get to the checkout to pay, but I was busy welcoming the people coming in to the store. I only got a little itty bitty treat for that. It would take A LOT of those to trade for a steak, I bet.
Anyway, congrats again Sadie from me and my mom!!!
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com

Could you let her know that I like my steak BIG and juicy! The bigger and juicier the better! Keepin our paws crossed that we get to do this again on your 2 month ampuversary!
Your steak lovin friend Mackenzie
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
