One Year ago today, Ranger came into our lives! He has been a source of joy and an inspiration. He embraces each day, whether he is lounging on the couch, going fo a car ride, camping at a nascar race, or playing with his monkeysister Athena, this boy is always happy! When I titled his blog "Everyone Loves Ranger" I had no idea how true it would be. He had such a rough start in life, and I am amazed at how much he loves everyone, and in turn, everyone loves him. I think of sweet Sadie today too, because if not for her, I would have never found this site, made friends here, or found Ranger. I still miss her, and it's with a little hesitation that I'm changing my avatar as well. I think it's a little confusing to newer members to have Sadie's picture with stories about Ranger. I'm gonna work on an avatar with both pictures, but this is Ranger's special day, so I will do that another time. Anyway, I just wanted to wish my baby boy a "HAPPY ADOPTAVERSARY!! I love you!
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Hooray for Ranger's adoptaversary! He sounds like a very sweet boy - and he certainly is handsome.
Lucky him; lucky you!
Extra treats for everypawdy!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Love Never Ends
Oh, oh, oh! Happy Adoptaversary Ranger!
I can attest to "everyone loves Ranger"...Monkeybutt Rocket really, really did like Ranger after he warmed up to him when he hung out with him for the day! When Lisa and I went out for walks, Rocket felt comfortable with him and stuck with him like glue. Ranger is such a good, good boy!
Hoppy Adoptaversary Ranger!!
Wow - what a wonderful story! Here's for many, many happy, hoppy days ahead!
Big hugs and wags

Thank you all for the nice thoughts and comments! I had a great day filled with special treats and a good car ride and lots of hugs (pretty much just another day!) Abby, I always thought you were a cutie (a tripawd warrior princess, but also a cute little biscuit ) And Lylee, Mom says you look a lot like Spirit Sadie, so I know you gotta be a a sweetie too! Oh, and Rocket MBVP, I know that you idolize me and wish you could be like me, but that would require a major attitude adjustment (oh, and major surgery too…) I'm pretty sure that you're not up to either. Anyway, thanks again, and Mom says I get to go on another road trip the first weekend in December (something about Elvi in sequins….not sure how I feel about that )
Ranger
P.S. Gayle, you're a sweetie too, but I know that you're taken and I don't want to cause trouble…
P.P.S. Ginger, I've always liked you…but mom says that you're WAY to smart for me….
Oh, and Cathy I'm working on mom for a road trip to Georgia........
