In the midst of all the pain and sorrow this past week – there was some joy too. I needed to remind myself of that and wanted to share with everyone here. Just over a week ago we celebrated Radar's 2 year ampuversary with a little get together and the Vet's office (Animal Hospital of Vandercook Lake) where they take such good care of all of my pups.
Thanks for all the photos. Many thought that Dad was crazy when he took a cake to our local vet's office and another cake to the oncology/surgery/emergency care facility but like you show, everyone there really enjoyed the PAWRTY. We need to thank them for all the great care that they gave me and Allie, not only after my cancer diagnosis but for all the great care. Also, we totally approve of the ICE CREAM - the perfect TriPawd PAWRTY requirement.

Loved all the pictures of Radar and Blade! What beautiful dogs!!! Looks like they enjoyed their ice cream treats so much!!
Thanks for sharing that with us!!
Angel Jake and Wolfie's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
yup – I really think the ice cream is the main reason they like going to the vets office (not that they don't love the whole gang there) but there is an ice cream parlor around the corner from the clinic that sells "puppy cups" – a dish of ice cream with a dog biscuit in it. And if you look particularly pitiful you get a large dish with 2 dog biscuits in it LOL. They get one every time we go.
Awww pawesome! Radar you are one incredible, heroic cancer warrior! Two years is AMAZING!!! Congrats!
Thank you so much for sharing Connie, I hope putting this together helped to heal your heart just a little. Hugs coming your way...

Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Two years! Oh that is inspiring. Happy ampuversary Radar; you are gorgeous. Thank you for sharing this!
