It will be a year ago tomorrow that I took my beautiful girl to the doctor for a limp. We thought that day we were going to get a magic pill, Tasha's limp would go away and life would always be the same. When the vet said I want to do an xray to rule out cancer I felt so confused, I guess I was way to native, dogs don't get bone cancer, after all we were only talking about a little limp. The journey started that day.
The last few days Tasha seems to feel fine, her energy level is good all seems fine but once in awhile she she does this little hack thing, when she does it I feel a chill go up my spine. I feel the air knocked out of me. If it continues we will get xrays but for today Tasha is getting ready to go out in the truck again, she is a happy dog and for now life is good, very good.

Congratulations on one year for Tasha! That is wonderful news after all of the recent losses. Today is also Rusty's five month Ampuversary and we hope to see a year or more.
Chuck & Rusty
Rusty is a Labradoodle who was diagnosed with level 3 Fibrosarcoma on January 16th, 2010 and had his left hind leg amputated on January 25th, 2010 five days before his 18 month birthday. Please see Rusty's blog @rusty.tripawds.com. He is putting up one heck of a fight against this terrible disease.
Congratulations, Tasha! That is such an accomplishment and great news to hear! I hope you and your family have a very special day. You've really come a long way from a year ago.
Daisy, 12 years young, had left forelimb amp on 5/19/2010 due to osteosarcoma. She left her body behind and joined the other spirit tripawds on 7/16/2010.
So grateful for each day with her!
Lexi (Daisy's momma)
Congratulations Tasha!!! I know the feeling of that little hack now and again.... I hear my dog, Maggie doing it from time to time...and it scares me...sometimes the hack is something I can point to but others...........holding my breath.
Have a good trip in your truck, Tasha!
Tracy, Maggie's Mom
Maggie was amputated for soft tissue sarcoma 10-20-09
Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
Hey Trucker Girl that's great news!
Follow up with a sneeze after the hack so your pawrents won't worry! You've got serious miles to cover so don't let them get worried!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

That is great news about Tasha and a big cause for celebration! I too vividly remember that day when Mackenzie was first diagnosed - so shocking - never in my widlest dreams would I have thought cancer too. Tasha's come a long way and sounds like she's doing just great- what could be better than having a happy tripawd enjoying the good life!
Kami
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
