Hi Everyone,
I wanted to share with you our newest addition to our golden family – Scarlett – our 12 week old golden puppy! Kobe, who is 2 1/2 and grew up with his big sister Mackenzie, now has a new little sister and he couldn't be happier. When we lost Mackenzie at the end of December, as many of you know, my heart broke into pieces. My heart is still broken as I miss her so much but I take great comfort in knowing that she had a hand in delivering our new girl to us and is most likely nudging me to move forward and stop being so sad. Scarlett is pure joy and I can't get over how much she reminds me of Mackenzie, how she plays like Mackenzie did and how her big brother Kobe is just so enamored with her, so protective too. Mackenzie taught Kobe and me a lot of great lessons and for that I will be forever grateful.
Thanks again for this wonderful community. And although I haven't been as active on tripawds as I would like, you are all in my heart for always being there for me.

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Oh, she's so chubby and cute! What a beautiful way to honor Mackenzie.

I just know in my heart that Mackenzie did have a hand in getting Scarlett to you! Maybe even a few other tripawds!
She is more than precious! I'm smiling from ear to ear! I better be a God Aunt!
She does look so sweet. I'm so happy she is making you happy! Oh, and if you want to trade, just say the word - I have a very cute monster puppy that I'm willing to trade!!! Kobe can get a rough as he wants with my little linebacker!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Ohhhhhh, Kobe is as cute as baby Scarlett in that video - he's sooooooo happy Though, was it just me or did he sit on her head at one point? Haha! Gerry attempted to sit on my roommate's dog's head once. Wondered what that meant... but I digress! Congratulations!!!
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
Kami, I am so very happy for your family! You absolutely did the right thing for Kobe--just look at him! His joy is boundless, isn't it? And when he sat on Scarlett's head, that was the best! I have a question, though. Does she ever sleep?

Kami,
Scarlett is really precious, I loved the part where she was being held by dad, she looked so squishy 🙂 Mackenzie picked a wonderful girl!

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Kami,
OMD- they seem inseparable already!
A new pup has a way of forcing us forward- whether we want to go or not. I hope raising Scarlett, and Kobe's evolution into a big brother help you heal. Mackenzie will always be with you- she is just taking different forms now.
Karen and the pugapalooza
That is the cutest little rolly poly butterball I have ever seen!!!
Her and Kobi are bestest buds already. And she don't back down one bit, even when he sat on her head!!
She is the rough and tumble model obviously.
Congrats to you for the new addition and Kobe's new baby sister.
Puppies certainly do have a way of making us move forward.
Very happy for you and your family 🙂
Kelly, you cracked me up: She is the rough and tumble model obviously.
