Hi Everyone!!!!
I haven't been on here in a while bc I have been busy having a human baby sister for Marshall. I wanted to let you all know that this Saturday is Marshall's 1 year AMPUVERSARY!!!! I can't believe that this is coming up and that he is doing well and able to celebrate it! We feel so thankful to have him with us. He is due for his chest X-rays this month. He beat acute pancreatitis about 2 months ago. Marshall is a fighter. Thank you all for your support. One year ago was a very scary time with so many questions and concerns and you all were there for us. I want to be on here more often bc I want to help others when they are starting this journey that none of wanted to be on.
Love,
Jessica and Marshall

A double congratulations to Marshall and mom: for the upcoming 1-yr ampuversary and for the little sister!
Oh, that pancreatitis must have been very scary. So glad to know Marshall is doing well and performing his duties as an older brother.

Our awesome Golden Boy was diagnosed for OSA in April 2014 in the proximal humerus, front-leg amp on 05/20/2014. Finished chemo (Carbo6) on 07/10/2014. Ongoing treatment: acupuncture + K-9 Immunity Plus ( 3chews) and home-cooked no-grain diet. Stopped Apocaps because of liver issues. Liver issues: controlling altered enzymes with SAM-e and Milk Thistle. October 17: started having seizures. Taking fenobarbital for seizures. April 18: started prednisone.
CONGRATS!!!! Considering your one-year is coming up, you must have joined shortly after me and Shelby. I LOVE hearing success stories and I am soooooo happy all is going well. And congrats on the baby!
Marshall IS a fighter and a rockstar! Keep on the good fight!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Congrats to you about the baby and Congrats Marshall on coming up on one year. That is a huge milestone. We are cheering you on buddy

Hoooray for Marshall the Miracle Dog! YAAY! An ampuversary AND a new human baby sister too? What a lucky, lucky dawg. He is probably already making a great big brother.
Congratulations to all of you, what a journey you've had and what great adventures you're all in for in the coming years, definitely many good times ahead!

Hang in there! The only thing that has changed is the fact that you saw the xray. For Marshall, it is still completly the same. He is surrounded by those he loves. He is not worried about what the xray says. I agree, cancer sucks. ( don't usually use this word, but there is not any nicer one to use for this stupid disease.) hang in there, keep snuggling, hugging, kissing and trying to keep his little world as normal as possible. Keep close here, it is a terrific support system. Hugs, Lori, Ty and the canine trio
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
To x-ray or not to x-ray, that is the question. On one hand, it's good to know what is going on, but on the other hand it leads to these bad moments. The battle is not over. More important than the x-ray is how Marshall is feeling, and how you and your family are luck to have him by your side, being able to enjoy quality time with Marshall. Hang in there, and think positive in order to send positive vibes to Marshall, because for him, as Lori said, nothing has changed.
My Johnnie's 9-month ampuversary is tomorrow. He is going to turn 7 in June 2015, and I am hoping to be able to celebrate his 7th birthday with him feeling good and being himself.
Did the vet suggest any additional treatment, for the mets? Sometimes I think the conventional oncovets are much too fatalistic, and not ready to jump in and try new tricks because they don't have enough scientific data. For us, that are on the other side (the dog's side), anything is worthwhile trying.
Hang in there! we are here for you and Marshall
Hugs,
Daniela & Johnnie
