What a lovely message from my best buddy, Karen.  You know what?  Maggie showed me that living life with cancer (and for her, the loss of a leg) was really going to be a-okay.  She was stilll the same happy pug, and everyone loved her more than ever.  Her strength and courage came from within and from the kind and compassionate people around her.  So, too, it is for me.  Life with cancer is hard and scary at times, but life is still good because of the love and insipration from my family, friends (like Karen), and other cancer survivors.

AND . . . good news from my doctor at yesterday's appointment!  The MRI is good . . . there is no evidence of cancer in my brain!  It's been a year and a half since I was diagnosed, a whole year as of yesterday (Dec. 7) since I completed my last chemo treatment, and on Feb. 9, it will be a full year of clear MRIs.  I am totally blessed!

Thank you for all that you do at TriPawds!  Your love for our animals is truly amazing.

:)Lynette

What a week! Today we have two more cheers for Dakota Dawg's Momma Shari, and etGayle's Sister Charon. Here's why:

A couple of days ago, we received a super duper gift from DakotaDawg! Woof! Woof! Thank you DD!

Dakota gave us a gift because his Momma Shari ordered these magical juju socks from etGayle's Sister Charon:

Charon refused payment! Instead, she said, "Make a gift to Tripawds OK?" Isn't that sweet?! So Dakota and Shari did, and we are so thankful! Thank you to both of you, what pawesome peeps!

Magical JuJu for everypawdy!

That's so wonderful.  Your juju Sister Charon socks have magical powers!!!!  Really! They give you the strength and bravery of Gayle and the niceness of Charon!

Ge'Lena, I could use some of the niceness of Charon. I can be a warrior princess at times! I like to wave my magic wand and scepter around and  expect people to do what I say.

Micki, this all happened after Dakota ate Evelyn's face. I think it was the next day. They both like the socks and they both are trying to figure out their feelings about Barney. We may all need therapy before this is over.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Once again, we extend our condolences to Tripawds member etGayle's Charon and Don, whose beautiful and wise girl Gayle was taken from us far too soon this week.

In honor of Gayle's memory as well as her constant support and love that she has given to this community during her own long and heroic battle against cancer, Tripawds member Golden Girls (Cathy Murray) has given Tripawds a very generous gift of financial support. Paws up for Cathy way-cool

We are so touched that she has chosen Tripawds to honor Gayle's incredible spirit.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. xoxo

oh my, this is just so humbling.  thanks so much for this cathy, it means so much to know that gayle has helped folks to be brave like she was.  honoring her memory by helping to keep tripawds going, is just the best.  blessings to you guys and the pups.

charon, don and spirit gayle

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included).  She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.

Rah! Rah! Rah! Three cheers for Tripawds Warrior Princess Abby and Momma Jackie!

This week, she and her Momma Jackie spread some Christmas love to Tripawds. They not only gave this community a special gift of financial support because Spirit etGayle's Sister Charon gave Jackie some magical Christmas JuJu socks and refused payment, but also because this dynamic duo "wanted to make a donation in Daisy's name, because Julie very generously sent us Daisy's old harness (plus presents!) for Abby."

We send all our love and best wishes for a beautiful holiday to this generous group…Tripawd Warrior Princess Abby, Momma Jackie, Spirit Gayle, Sister Charon, Spirit Daisy and Momma Julie…thank you for bringing so much magic to this community!

The big thanks is to you guys. I'm sure I would have gone nuts many times over without the info and support we've gotten from Tripawds!

Happy Holidays to everyone from Team Tripawds!
Jackie, Mike & Abby

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

That is inspirational and makes perfect sense how you, Lynette, was inspired by little tripug Maggie. So glad to hear your good news.

And those are some nice socks! Here I thought this group only had socks and mitts suited for Florida or maybe Missouri. I was wrong. Those are beauties! (A sock connoiseur from the sort of far north - unless you live in Iqulalik, in which case we are the deep south.)

Woot! Woot!

Three paws up and then some for longtime ModPawd Tazzie (aka Susan), who generously gave Tripawds a super duper howliday gift of financial support. Thank you Susan!

Susan has been with us since July 2009, when her beloved Spirit Tazzie lost his leg to osteosarcoma. This sweet boy tragically lost his battle far too quickly on December 7 of that year, but his beautiful spirit stays strong and lives on in the hearts of everyone who got to know him.

Thanks for all that you've done for Tripawds over the years Susan, it's an honor to have you in this community.

Angel Abby (Tripawd Warrior Princess) touched all of us deeply with her humor and courageous battle against cancer. Abby was so young, and her passing has hit this community hard.

To honor her spirit, Tripawds member Golden Girls (aka Cathy Murray), has given a generous gift of support to commemorate this incredible girl and her beautiful life.

We send many golden hugs and thanks to Cathy and her pack; Jane, Darby & Peyton, Spirit Skyler & Spirit Chloe, for choosing Tripawds for this honor. Thank you so much.

Oh, that is so sweet of Cathy and Jane to do that. We are in tears.

We are still so awed and moved by how much everyone loved our girl. We miss her terribly, but it does help to know how much she touched others.
