It's snowing in Ohio, again! I forget what the grass looks like. Emily hated the snow, but she loved her big brother more. Bentley, a lab, has a thick coat. Emily, a doberman, had a thin coat. Bentley loved the snow and wanted to stay outside and Emily didn't want to leave him so she stood shivering until Bentley would finally come in. She would have hated this weather. One of the most touching memories I have of her is when she was a puppy and was afraid to go up the steps the first time she saw snow/ice. Bentley went down the steps a couple of times and then stood by her a minute. She then walked up the stairs next to him. They were best buddies.
Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
We're glad Fortis was able to play in the snow! Holly loves the snow! She likes to "snowplow" - she puts her head down and runs through the yard. She looks so funny when she finally looks up - a head full of snow! Mom here is getting mighty tired of the snow now... can't wait until the flowers start peeking out!
Debra - that is such a sweet story about Emily and Bentley. I loved it!
Holly and Holly's mom
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!
