This may be the first snow Fortis has ever seen. I know this, it's the first snow he has ever seen as a tripawd! He had a great day and the snow was a special treat. We just wanted to say whadup Y'all from down here in snowy texas! Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who are fighting and have fought this horrible disease.
P.S. The band Alice In Chains has an album with a Tripaw on the cover. (I've never listened to the music but a friend sent me a picture of the album cover. I tried to post it, but no luck.
Fortis and Brett
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
Brett, that is so unbelievable that's it's snowing there. Glad that Fortis got to experience it. All dogs should! Enjoy.

Freaked out weather, isn't it? But it's been nice in Vegas lately! But some days it's warmer in Northern Texas and Southern Oklahoma (my family's states) than it is here!
I think Fortis is better looking than the album cover. But it's super cool!

Alaska has had some really strange weather the last few years. We were there for the iditerod the year they had to move the start of the race to Fairbanks because there was no snow in the Wasilla/Anchorage area. It worked out well for us, we drove to Fairbanks, had an invitation to visit one of the mushers kennel, took a dog sled ride, saw huge ice sculptures, toured Fairbanks. It was too much fun.
I love Alaska, we have considered living there in the summer and Tx in the winter.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Alaska cleanses the soul! Loved it.

I found it! Here it is!...
Don't know what the story is but my pawrents really dug Alice in Chains back in the nineties. They must be retro now because Amazon has this album for just three bucks!

Back in the day I was a paratrooper in Fairbanks Alaska. I loved it. Alaska is way cool. I have considered a move to Sitka Alaska, such a beautiful place and yes it cleanses the soul. Fortis is continuing to improve and is anxiously awaiting a swim in the river! The Vet says min. two weeks for that though. Well since I can't even figure out how to post a link or quote here in the forum I suppose a blog is out of the question for me. FYI, One of the commands Fortis learned as a young pup was to stand. Not the easiest of commands to teach but I have found it very beneficial especially now that he is a Tripawd.
Good wishes to all Pawrents and Tripawds,
Fortis'Dad
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that cannot figure the whole quote thing out. 😕 I feel so stupid! LOL I've searched for info on it, but I couldn't find any.
Hope Fortis enjoyed the snow!!! Snowing here in Madison, again ... which Harley just loves, but our Basenji loathes.

Hey guys no need to feel stupid! Nope, not at all. Are you talking about how to quote other responses within a thread?
The quote feature is located above every post response. It's a little blue box to the right of a person's online status, and to the left of the "Report Post" buton. Click the "Quote" box once, then scroll down to the bottom of the page where the "Reply to Topic" box is located. Give it a sec because sometimes it might take that long depending on your Internet connection. Sometimes I have to click twice before it loads.
You should then see an exact quote of the person's reply, right there in the white box. Cut out what you don't need, and start typing underneat the line going across the box.
Does this help any?

If for some reason the Quote button doesn't load the quoted text into your reply box, here is how to manually quote a previous topic ...
- Type "Username Said ..."
- Copy and paste desired quotable text after that.
- Draft your reply
- Select only the text to be quoted and click the Blockquote button (small quotation mark)*
- Post new reply
*If the post editor tool icons do not appear above your post reply box, follow these instructions to select Rich Text as your default post editor.
Hope this helps! Please ask any further related questions in the Tech Support forum .
