My good buddy Dakota is celebrating his 10-month ampuversary today! I know there are several of you right now who are struggling with recent setbacks with your dogs. Please, for Dakota, try to put aside that worry and fear for 30 minutes (or the whole day!) and celebrate with us. It won't hurt and it might help, and it'll give you a good excuse to eat something without guilt! Dakota's preferences for ampuversary parties run toward rabbit poop and rotting carcasses he finds in the woods, but I will understand if you'd rather have ice cream or cheese. I'm sure he will, too. Pawty on!
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
What a handsome boy, Congratulations Dakota! 10 months is really incredible. We will celebrate, since I just got back from grocery shopping, with some home made stew and we will call it "Dining with Dakota" 🙂 Here is to an all day celebration!!!!!!!!!

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Hooray, Dakota! You are such a gorgeous dude!
I am going to celebrate your special day with a trip to the beach and some extra treats!!
KISSES!
Abby
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Love that happy face!!! Hoppy ampuversary Dakota. We'll be going for the ice cream and cheese instead of the poo and carcasses, but wouldn't want to influence your decision on your special day!
Congrats on the double digits, D-Dawg!

Hoppy Ampuversary, Dakota! I don't think Finchy will go for poop or rotting carcasses, but he'll have some puperoni for you 🙂
Jenna & Spirit Chili Dawg
Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
OH! Rotting carcasses, rabbit poop, homemade stew, cheese, ice cream and puparoni! What a dog's delight!!! (I wonder if it has to be in that order?)
Dakota,
We are beaming with delight for you on this big double digit day!!! I hope it brings you lots of smiles!!!
I've said it a million times before and I'll say it again…you can never have too much rabbit poop!
Here's to lots of rabbit poop!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

Happy 10 months DD!!!
Maggie was quite the rabbit poop connoisseur- and they were just the right snacksize for pugs!! But alas, no opportunity where we live now for the pugs to forage.
So- they will celebrate with some extra treats (real treats, not just Trouble beans!) and I will celebrate with homemade Christmas cookies a friend just dropped off.
Karen and the poop-less alooza
Whoo hooo! Another double digit ampuversary we all get to celebrate! Probably can do without the rabbit poop and rotting carcasses on this go around but we'll be right there with you celebrating with lots of treats, cheese and ice cream! Way to go Dakota! You rock!
Kami, Angel Mackenzie, Kobe and Scarlett
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
we'll celebrate for you here in ET - way to go dakota!!!
charon & gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
Hoppy 10 months Dakota! 2 months to go and you hit the big ONE year!!!! Keep it up!
-Chloe's mom
P.S. does chewing mussels off the exposed low tide rocks count as a celebratory activity? Chloe also tries to scarf cat poo if she finds some on our walks... if Dakota likes that "celebration" more.
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
