I'd like to thank my loyal fan base for supporting me during the last month. I'd like to thank the people who stuff the squishy food into the cans so eating is easier after surgery.
I'd like to thank the doctors for not putting a cone of shame on me when I came home.
I'd like to thank all the tripawds who've gone before me and blazed trails, making it easier for me to adjust. Your advice is invaluable.
I'd like to thank Evelyn for going 2 weeks without peeing on my bed and 10 days without tearing up another of my beds.
I'd like to thank my Man for bringing home the new bones and bully sticks for those first couple of weeks. In case you hadn't noticed, I'm out.
I want to thank Rocket and Samson for occupying Evelyn. Maybe that's why she's leaving my bed alone.
I want to thank precious Angel Indi for the nifty red harness that smells so yummy, just like Indi.
And I want to thank my stupid Woman for finally taking the ugly pink hoody off of me. I'm going back to licking that last little sore spot I won't leave alone, thank you very much.
Now if you'll all excuse me, I have a tent to raise, a flag to hoist, a rocket to launch and a thingamajig to show off.
Love, D.
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
And we want to thank you for being a part of this community! Congratulations on this milestone, now go strut your stuff, you deserve it.

Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Happy Hoppy 1 month ampuversary Dakota!! If you are anything like I was that first month seemed to take forever to come around, but once it did - the months just started going by quicker. also I just wanted to say.. I think there is a lot of hope for Evelyn.. she seems like a nice dog and I think she is misunderstood. Im gonna keep my paws crossed fro Evelyn to come around.

the monkeydogs only THINK they have invaded the tripawd state
Way to go Dakota! Keep the celebration under control, I would hate to see you letting it all hang out on one of those "Dogs Gone Wild" videos. On second thought, the royalties might help pay the vet bill
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Go forth and raise a flag! You can celebrate however you wish. Congrats on your big day.
We love another reason for naps and ice cream!
