Since today is Wednesday this must be that very special, very spectacular, very inspirational day - TazzieDog's one year ampuversary!!!! The sounds you are hearing from northern California are all the cheers we will be sending. We will be celebrating vicarously and will be toasting this wonderful milestone. You are truely a hero to those of us who are just starting down this journey.
Oh it is next Wednesday and not today. Well we will just have to celebrate for a full week - That can not be bad!

That is okay we started celebrating once we found out that her chest rads were clear last week. We will have to delay the party until Labor Day weekend due to my schedule but I will at least post pix of Tazzie in her tiara! (One of the techs here at work has already made her a necklace and bought her a tiara. The dog is not spoiled or anything....)

A 184 (or is it 194) lb English mastiff in a tiara, pretty funny. Hopefully the tech will get something that Tazzie herself will enjoy, such as a triple-layered fake-chocolate cake.
I had no idea you were 1 year into things after this week's earlier emails. That merits a HUGE party! Tazzie 2 sends all his best and hopes to follow in Tazzie 1's pawsteps

Nova has a tiara too! She even dressed as a princess for Halloween once.
We are sooooooo glad to hear the great news about Tazzie. She is our big dog inspawration!

Dane Mom Sue at nova.tripawds.com and Mom to Beautiful Great Dane Queen Nova, a Blind Tripawd, who kicked cancer's butt from 11/08-03/13. The Queen is Spirit Nova now, but her legacy lives on here at Tripawds!
We'll be joining you in celebration next Wednesday--Cemil will be having his 7-months ampuversary that day.

Well, I tried to hold off until next week for my official TazzieDog celebration, but as you can see, I didn't make it. I think for that 12 month mark it is oK to celebrate a little longer - after all it is a huge milestone for our friend.
TazzieDog has been such an inspiration to the other large dogs who have joined, she is proof they can all overcome if they have our love, support, and that will to please us.
Pam, I can't tell you how comforting it is to have you here, you give us guidance even though you are on your own journey. Kudos to you for being the wonderful person you are.

Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.

We would LOVE to do that and have thought about it before, but we haven't been able to find a calendar plug-in that's compatible with the software our site is built with (WordPress MU). If anyone knows of one, please let us know.
Meanwhile, how about this: I started an Ampuversaries topic in our Shout Outs discussion. Everyone, list your ampuversaries here!
Then, we will mark them on our calenders here at Tripawds (and you can feel free to do it at home too!), and we'll make a separate announcement in Shout Outs when an ampuversary comes up?
