Hi all! Holly celebrated her 7 month ampuversary on the 29th! We were away, so celebrated in style with a walk in the woods, a swim in the lake, and some good treats all day (including plenty of cheese). Oh, and Gayle will be happy to hear we also had plenty of naps!
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Susan and Holly,
I was wondering where this ampuversary "Shout-out" was going to appear. After all, this is not a day that I will forget and it sounds like you were just too busy celebrating. I would have to say that you have your priorities totally in-line. ENJOY! ENJOY! ENJOY!
Let me see . . . walks in the woods and a swim in the lake takes care of the extra playtime - good treats all day (including plenty of cheese) takes care of the special treats - I am sure that there were plenty of extra hugs while away - so that only leaves the ICE CREAM, but I am sure that was also included. So it sounds definately like an Ampuversary Celebration for Holly and the family. Seven months is definately a great milestone and one you both should be proud to have accomplished. We will definately say thanks tonight for Holly's seven month ampuversary. Just keep on rocking.

You are a superstar, Holly J!
Are you swimming your basement? I hear it's been turned into an indoor pool which has kept you away! Do you have to dodge the furniture as it floats around?
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Woohoo! Sounds like a well deserved good time was had by all. 🙂

Birthday – November 4 2003
Amputation – January 13 2010
Crossed the Bridge – June 2 2011
Thanks for all the well wishes! Yes, ICE CREAM was definitely included in our celebration. Then we had more last night just because! Yum!
Comet - for some reason mom and dad have hired a company to get rid of the pool in our basement. Now that I have my very own life jacket I would have preferred that they continue to let the pool fill up so Zuzu and I could go swimming anytime we want. Sheesh! What are they thinking??? Zuzu did a good job showing me how to swim when we were on vacation - and it sure feels good when it's hot out!
