Well, my hubby is softening a bit. This may still take awhile. He has an auction company named Zippys. The logo is a dog holding a gavel in his mouth. Yesterday, I said that we need a mascot. I said that we should get a puppy and call him Zippy. My hubby said, " yeah we should." Zippy??? Really??? Here Zippy, down Zippy......eyy yi yi! Well, if it gets me my puppy. I sort of have the name Cody stuck in my mind, or Cooper. Sooooo......if a dog named Cody or Cooper just somehow shows up at my door, who am I to say no to happenstance Oh, I am a goof sometimes. We will see just who Ty sends my way when the time is right. Hopefully he is black and shiny and Labby. Or have you seen the silver ones with blue eyes. Oh, melt my heart! Lori and Ty
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed  and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.Â
Three paws, two feet, and ten fingers crossed for you.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
That's great!!! Want a little dog with dumbo ears? Kidding. Jasper is growing on me ... we had a 'good' day today (but it's still early in the evening).
Â
Seriously ... I am so happy for you! You have so much love to give and I love those names! Paws crossed!Â
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
I am in your corner as well on this........Husbands can sometimes be very, let's just say, a huge stick in the mud. After saying I would not be interested in ever getting another sweet yellow Lab again, I have come across a rescue that I KNOW was sent from Polly........hubby ain't goin' for it......it is almost breaking my heart because I cannot convince him, but I keep digging on an every 6-12 hour basis. I hope I can win soon, because I am terrified someone will take this precious Lab girl first....
Thinking good and positive thoughts for you, and hope you win as well......
Bonnie & Angel Polly
P.S. I love the name Cooper.....I have a pet sit pup, and his name is Cooper...one of the cutest, funniest dogs I've seen!
Good husbands always cave!
Paws, tails, fingers & toes crossed for you.

Okay Lori....it does look like he's caving just a touch.
But Bonnie.....I don't know about your guy yet......is a quickie divorce an option??. kiddding!
Bon ie, could you just bring the dog home on a "trial" basis.....think hubby would fall for that one??
I can tell you both that, for me Puppy Myrtle is exactly .....any wave of sadness that grabs you when you least expect it, can only last a minute because Myrtle will pull some little puppy antic to distract me completely and make me laugh
All I can say is pull every trick M you can think of...especial L you the tears and yo u know TY and Polly want you to have happiness essential again. Show them The Last Will and Testament of a Dog and sign it Ty...or Polly.

Amy & Spirit Libby
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Â Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. Â She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Â Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Yay to caving! Any chance Mickey the rescue is MD is still available?
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here. Â
