Today marks Harley’s 6month Ampuversary!
I feel so incredibly blessed and humbled. I cannot believe how the time has flown by. I would have never made it this far without all of you; thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Harley will be celebrating today by eating snow (I froze a container of snow before it all melted, and he enjoys some from time to time). We also have a Vet appointment this afternoon, which I pray will be uneventful.
Amputation on 11/10/09, due to Histiocytic Sarcoma in left elbow. Angel Harley earned his wings on 06/24/10.

Harly,
We are so very happy to hear of your 6 month ampuversary. This is definately reason to PAWRTY and it sounds like you are off to a good start with real snow cone. Hope that you get extra hugs, more playtime, and more special treats as part of the celebration for reaching this great milestone. I noticed that they changed your avatar. Dad did the same for my one year ampuversary.
Dad will be having a specaial toast in celebration of thiis milestone and all of us will be praying for an "uneventful" visit to your vet. By-the-way, you might like to try ICE CREAM which is in season all the time and not just in winter like the snow. Dad just said that I am always trying to stir up trouble.

Kami and Mackenzie
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Hoppy Ampuversary, Harley. I am so happy for you.
Debra & Angel Emily

Rooohooo! Hoppy Ampuversary, Harley!!!
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

As always, thanks for all the well wishes … you guys are the best! Harley had a good day of hopping around outside, sticking his head out the car window, and lots of treats (including Miss Cherry’s famous ice cream!).
Our Vet visit did not go as we hoped, but it was not as bad as it could have been. Harley’s platelets dropped from his chemotherapy, which we decided to discontinue several weeks ago due to this drop. We were back for a blood re-check yesterday, and his platelets are still low. The good news is they are not dangerously low, but they certainly are not in the normal range. We’ll go back in a couple weeks for another re-check; hopefully they will go back up and we haven’t permanently damaged the bone marrow.
(FYI: I posted in the Angel Exchange one 100mg CCNU/Lomustine chemotherapy pill. We purchased several pills in advance, since they had to be specially ordered by our Vet, and we have one leftover. If anyone can use it, let me know. Our Vet will mail the pill to your Vet.)
