A VERY happy Thanksgiving to the Tripawd Nation. I am thankful for this community. It gave me and gives me strength in this epic battle against cancer and a lifeline to other loving, supportive furbaby-pawrents. Oh boy, am I thankful!
I'm also so thankful that Jackson is still in our lives. I honestly didn't think he'd see his 9th birthday (about 3 weeks ago) and look, it's Thanksgiving! We're celebrating 11 months today! I have no updates on his condition; he's still excellent! We had a checkup about 2 weeks ago and his bloodwork, urine, and all other signs are normal and great! We're so proud of him! He's our stellar Tripawd cancer warrior. Hop on, buddy. WE LOVE YOU!!!

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
And a very happy Thanksgiving to you too.
As a Canadian, my family and I celebrated Thanksgiving in October - about three weeks after Tuck's amputation.
Needless to say, I certainly had something to be thankful for as well.
And Happy, Happy 11 month ampuversary to Jackson.....and many more to come.
Hugs
Linda and Tucker
Hoppy 11th Ampuversary Jackson!! I hope you got lots of good Thanksgiving goodies to celebrate!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
What? No picture of Jackson in your post? :O You are slacking Katy. Happy Thanksgiving.
Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury. Her amp was on 10/1/12. She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera. We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.

Hoppy ampuversary, Jackson. I have to agree with Karma, though. "What? No pictures."
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
I would have LOVED to post a pic of my handsome guy, but we're celebrating Thanksgiving in my mother in law's house - sadly, she's very allergic to dogs. Jackson had to stay at home. It tears me up each time, but he's in very good care at home. He didn't have to suffer with an 11hr drive, the day before Thanksgiving! And he isn't suffering by being shut-out and shut-in the cold basement. I wish I could have been with him to give him a ginormous hug and kiss on his Big 11. But, nope. He got loads of those the day before and he'll get more (and leftovers!) when we return. I'll post a pic then.

Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Hahahahhahaha! Oh, my, Happy Hannah! You have such a special way of making us all smile and laugh out loud. I'm sorry no pics of Jackson. I'll get those online either late tomorrow or on Monday. He's a handsome man and how could I keep his face from this Nation? It's coming! Promise. I'm just 10 hours away from him....
Thanks for the love and smiles.
