Hello..new here. Our diagnosis of osteosarcoma came last Thursday,
decision to amputate LF has been made, and now we just have to make the
arrangements. Your posts have helped more than I can say (as everyone
has said), and this is just to introduce ourselves. Cemil is an
Anatolian Shepherd, 3 years old, 30" tall, 156#, outweighs Mom.
I know there will be challenges ahead, but his eyes say "Do
something", so here I am, learning as I go. Thanks for the support I've
already found here; Cemil thanks you too. My biggest questions right
now are, What kind of help is he going to need from me when he first
gets home after the surgery? How can I prepare? I'm nervous because I
can't lift him.
That was 17 months ago, our first post. It's hard to remember how scared I was then; and now…Cemil is still here, beyond my wildest hopes. We are blessed. Happy ampuversary, my sweet boy. Green beans all around!!
(In this time zone, it's still the 26th)
Cemil and mom Mary, Mujde and Radzi….appreciating and enjoying Today
Hey big buddy you are awesome!!!
Your pal Maggie is somewhere watching over you, just like you watch over all of us in Mill Valley every month.
Maybe I'll bring Mag's Ruffwear harness next month and you can wear it like a hat- your ampuversary hat!! I know how much you like hats.
Here's to many, many, many, many....many more happy days, happy weeks, happy months, happy YEARS.
Karen and the pug girls
Wow, Cemil - you're right behind Trouble. I knew you were an old timer, but didn't realize how close you really were. Congratulations on another ampuversary celebration. We are so thrilled for you. You prove to all a big boy can do it too. Hope you have many more pawsome ampuversaries ahead.
Green Beans for Troubs. She loves the celebrations!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Congratulations! It is wonderful to see a string of good news; we hope Cemil has many more!
Chuck & Rusty
Rusty is a Labradoodle who was diagnosed with level 3 Fibrosarcoma on January 16th, 2010 and had his left hind leg amputated on January 25th, 2010 five days before his 18 month birthday. Please see Rusty's blog @rusty.tripawds.com. He is putting up one heck of a fight against this terrible disease.
Happy Ampuversary, Cemil! Your are an amazing boy! We'll certainly have some treats in your honor today!

Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Awesome job Cemil! I LOVE these happy ampuversaries!! Hope you have many, many more!
Hugs and sloopy Sadie kisses,
Lisa & Sadie
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
Yippy Skippy! That's wonderful Cemil!
Skip the green beans and go straight for the ice cream!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Just the kind of wonderful news that we love to hear. Seventeen months is definately a milestone worthy of celebration. That cheering you are hearing from down the road is all of us joining in the PAWRTY. Extra Hugs, Extra Playtime, Special Treats, and ICE CREAM are definate musts for such a great celebration. As we planned when we left, our green beens are just beginning to blossom, so we will have to delay that portion of the celebration - Hum - Guess we will just have to have another celebration when they are ready! Works for us!!
Be sure to keep the Big Man Happy on this very special day.
