Today is Zoe's 4 month ampuversary, my beautiful girl continues to fight hard. We went to Perdue last week for her big checkup and I got my Christmas present early, the chemo is still working, x-rays and ultrasounds showed no signs of spread. She has been down lately so I was a little concerned. I guess it is just this cold rainy weather that is giving her the blues. I'm sure she will perk up when the cooking and baking starts for the holiday celebration. She loves to travel and eat so Christmas is sure to please her.
I also wanted to wish everyone here Happy Holidays, I know its been a long hard year for many and I wanted to thank you guys for all the support.
P.S. Happy late Ampuversary to Romeo, I hope you are doing well and your Mom is just busy with this Christmas stuff, she usually reminds me that Zoe's is coming up
Every day we get to spend with our companions is a day for celebration, but a milesone as great as a 4 month ampuversary is reason for a PARTY. So that sound that you will be hearing from the west coast will be our vicarious celebration for Zoe. To help celebrate, Cherry will have a truck ride (one of her greatest thrills), lots of hugs, special treats and pumpkin pie Ice Cream. My wife Emily and I will be toasting this great news.
Enjoy the baking and all the sights, sounds, and smells of the Christmas season. Paws are crossed for many more such ampuversaries. Never let one of these milestones pass without the reflections of just how far you have come and for the gift of this "extra time".

Way to go Zoe! Happy Ampuversary and great news on the check up.
Maggie had a lot of 'down' time while she was going through chemo- she didn't have many major side effects, just a lot of time that she was not herself. How much more time on chemo? Maggie pretty much left all of the down time behind when she finished her chemo.
Happy Holidays to you guys.
