I feel so blessed to be celebrating Lily's 16 month ampuversary today. She is doing well-eating her yummy, healthy food like crazy, taking short walks, playing when she's not being her usual couch potato self:), and just being my sweet, sweet furbaby.
I am so thankful for this very special community-thank you all for always being there.
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
Love, love, love you pretty girl! You are the face of hope for those in the midst of the battle. Keep kickin' cancer's hiney Lily!
Lisa and Angel Zeus
Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

Way to go Lily! Your longevity gives me and Libby great hope and inspiration. Here's to many more ampuversaries!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
Good grief Lily! Share the secret! Clearly part of it having a great Mom!

Thank you all so, so much. I just read all your comments to Lily-made me smile through my tears Sometimes I feel so sad about the beautiful furbabies that we have lost, and I feel like I don't want to make anyone feel badly by celebrating for my Lily. You remind me that it's so important to give others hope; I have needed that so many times during this journey. So I thank you again for your kind words, and I pray that Lily will continue to kick cancer's butt in a big way!! My beautiful tripawd warrior princess is celebrating and getting plenty of ear scratchies!

You are out of your mind. NO REGRETS. NO GUILT. NO SADNESS. Understand? You need to be shouting from the rooftops and dancing naked under the moon (I totally can't remember who threatened to do that - but it was a big laugh for all of us some time ago). You must remember that we fall in love with the babies on this site and we celebrate with you - even those of us who weren't as fortunate. I promise. If anything it gives us a sense of vindication that somebody out there is flipping off cancer and winning the race!!!

Oh sweet Joan, I can only speak for myself, but this type of victory is definitely the antidote for sad loss of so many of our tripaed heroes. There is nothing more cathartic than hope that actually takes the form of you special Lily.
I feel like I do understand your feelings though. My Happy Hannah is just under eight weeks beyond amputation and there are some on this sit recently whose loved ones didn't make it that far. When I celebrate Happy Hannah's life every moment of everyday I know in my heart that I am also celebrating the lives of those who have crossed over to the other sideof life. When I celebrate everyone's victories, I, along with everyone else honor those brave souls and their loved ones.
I no one shared their victories, there would be no Tripawds Site ....if we had no Tripawd Site.
, we would have no tripawds.....if we never experienced the loving journey we take with our tripawds , we would never learn the gift of living in the present moment and never have the privilege of expanding our ability to love beyond anything we ever imagined. And we would certainly never celebrate poop and pee!!:-)
So thankthank you Joan and Lily for touching our lives in ways you will never even know.

Lisa, I am out of my mindbut dancing naked under the moon or like Dharma...at noon--hmm, that would make quite a celebration--I think I can get Lily to do it:) Seriously, you all make such sense, and I know how important it is to give hope to everyone-Sally, you really said perfectly what this site is about. So....hopefully I'll kick guilt and regret and cancer in the butt!!
Lisa, I think of you and Zeus so often, always with a smile and such sweet memories of Zeus. I actually was just getting ready to inbox you to see how you are doing.
Thanks again for being there,

Woo hoo Lily! I just love hearing about another month added to an already great life! Blowing the horns and throwing confetti in celebration!

Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
