We went to the vet today to check Bo's liver levels that were high at surgery. Also, we went to ease my mind with a few issues that I've noticed (lump on neck, bloodshot eyes, mobility, cough, appetite). We are super happy to report that Bo is doing fantastic!!
Liver levels: Perfect!
Lump on neck: cyst with clear fluid-no worries!
Bloodshot eyes: no issues as long as eyes aren't gunky with green/yellowish fluid. We can give sterile eye drops 2 times a week if it bothers us humans.
Mobility: trimming the nails has already helped immensely. Also, we can go back to giving 2 Dasaquin instead of 1 to help back legs.
Cough: doesn't sound like "the cough". Whew! I guess large dogs can develop some type of throat reflex after eating/drinking and that is probably what Bo is doing.
Appetite: he's been spoiled with wet food! Let him eat what he wants to eat.
Our vet sat down and just chatted with me for a little while about how well he is doing. She also showed me where on his neck/body swollen/cancerous lymph nodes would be. She also just did a full body check on him to make sure everything felt normal. And it did!!
I am just overjoyed that our sweet boy is doing so well. We're celebrating...Bo is getting a hamburger and I'm getting some sushi! And, we are all going to rest easy tonight!! Thanks for letting me share!! 🙂
Excellent report. Glad you got only good news.

Hooray, what wonderful news! So glad you've got a good vet to take care of Bo and help put your mind at ease, too! Hope he enjoyed the cheeseburger 🙂
