I just wanted to shout-out that today is Fortis' 2 month ampuversary. I must say he is one tough guy! One rear leg amputated and the other all but useless, yet he dosen't complain for a minute. I love my boy as he was, is and always will be, my friend. We continue to pray for you guys.
Fortis & Brett
Way to go, Fortis!! Happy 2 month ampuversary!! We're sending lots of hugs across the miles... and Holly will get a special treat in your honor. 🙂
Holly and Holly's mom
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Fortis & Brett,
You have reached a greate milestone and it is worth a PAWRTY. Fortis, make sure you get extra hugs, special treats, more playtime, and dare I hope ..... ICE CREAM. Everyone here will tell you that I measure a PAWRTY by the ICE CREAM. It is definately my favorite.
Thanks for posting this great news. Dad sure could use a good story. His ancient notebook computer died today, just after he spend days making my animated .GIF. However, he had purchased a more powerful notebook about a year ago making sure that he could get Windows XP Pro. Anyway, your posting was a very uplifting occurance and we all want to both thank you and send congradulations. There will be toasts tonight for the ampuverseries.
Spirit Cherry
We love you too Fortis! Keep up the good work. 🙂

YAY Fortis!! Hope you are getting lots of Texas size treats for your ampuversary. Here's to lots and lots more !!
Tai
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
Way to go Fortis! They're so amazing. Sadie tells me everyday how happy she is to be alive with her smile and wagging tail. I definitely think special treats are in order!
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Yay Fortis. Glad to hear you and your Dad are holding up okay and that you are celebrating the big 2 monther!
So what is the story on your other hind leg? I sort of remember something there – was it one of those TPLO's or whatever they are called? How do you get around to do your stuff outside? Is your Dad getting even stronger by helping you with a sling?
T.
Hoppy 2 month Ampuversary Fortis!! Hope you had a great celebration and got some extra special goodies for one tough guy on his special day.

Mary and Cemil
Cemil and mom Mary, Mujde and Radzi….appreciating and enjoying Today
Happy 2 month ampuversary Fortis!! Hope your dad spoiled you with some yummy treats to celebrate! Now, what about your other leg? Is this a permanent problem, or is it something that will heal? Have you thought about trying out one of those wheelchairs for dogs? I know that they're expensive, but maybe someone has one that they aren't using anymore?
Angel Jake's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
