Fortis and ALL his pack,
Celebrating an eleven month ampuversary with a full weekend pawrty - Sounds just about right to me. After all Fortis, you have had to put up with so much, it is only fitting that we set aside a full weekend in your honor. We can never have too many ampuversary pawrties, unless it would be to eleminate the need for any such pawtries. However, that is too deep a discussion for me.
Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Dad never gave me any ice cream more exotic than pumpkin pie ice cream, but considering just how touchy my stomach became after the chemotherapy, it is probably just as well. We will be looking forward to hearing about your One Year Ampuversary and are so very glad to see that you are enjoying life so very much. Dad is here with me and he is all smiles. Thanks for that too.
Big Standard Poodle Hugs,
Spirit Cherry
Fortis you are one amazing, pawsome big guy! It makes me so happy to be able to say Hoppy 11 Month Ampuversary to you! Congrats, sounds like you had a wonderful celebration.

Awh Fortis you are such a handsome dude!!! Tai always had a bit of a crush on you
11 months is simply pawesome!!!! We can't quite stomach even the sound of liver ice cream so Kali (Tai's younger sister who now takes charge of all celebrations) is rounding up some liver bites in your honor. Keep on fightin' the good fight Fortis, we all luv you.
Lab licks and yellow tail wags coming your way.
Laura, Kali and Angel Tai
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
My HERO! Fortis, you are so incredible! What a fantastic day indeed.

How wonderful is this....oh you big giant success story you!!!!! (psst by the way...I shall be saving your Christmas card for years and years to come) Maybe you can convince the parents to let the celebration run from now.....til the YEAR ampuversary....how's about that for celebration......but maybe not too many shots..ahem.
Fortis!!! Dude!!! Happy, Hoppy 11 Month-er!!!! I'm so happy for you(and your pawrents)
I think we can hear you guys whooping it up in Texas all the way from here in Maine!

Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
Happy days, Fortis!
I'd have traded the liver flavored ice cream for tequila shots in a heartbeat but I'm glad you enjoyed them.
Sending wishes for many, many more ampuversaries from me; licks from Catie; and a dude hug from Riley.

Fortis -
You are the Dog ! Way to go on the 11 month ampuversary big guy.
Nobody - and I mean nobody - with 3 - or 4 legs - wears a hat as well as you do !! ... just saying... and truly, you deserve to celebrate the entire weekend - or the whole week for that matter ! Sounds like your dad has the right idea to me. Tequila... sunshine ... napping ... aaaahhhh .... it's probably best that you made him stay away in the back yard while you enjoyed your liver ice cream... tequila and liver ice cream in the same sentence makes me a little queasy .... ... and it was YOUR big day, after all. Thanks for sharing it with us, Patti !
I'm sure Sophie is already giving you Golden Angel kisses - so I'll just send you a big human hug from here in the great white north.
Tana (and Spirit Sophie)
We LOVED the Christmas card ... too cute. Thanks.

"Going Dog" def: living every day in the moment
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
–Unknown
Oh dear Fortis, you are a saint! Your Dad is always finding some way to capture your essence in some sort of costume, hat or desguise. But that Christmas tree he managed to tie to your magnificent skull is way too much .
You are such a hero and I wish you all the fun things you can wrangle out of your pawrents in order to celebrate to the max.
Swim, eat, sleep and accept all the lovin' they can lavish on you.
Wishing you many many many many more ampuversarys!

Hey Fortis--congratulations on your ampuversary!! We got liver treats and Mom had wine. Maybe liver ice cream would be better, but this was pretty good. Keep on winning, my friend.
