Hi all,
Just wanted to check in and say thanks again for your help and support 6 months ago when Eloise was diagnosed and went through her surgery. We will be celebrating on March 8th and are so thankful to everyone who offered their experiences and support during such tough times. Today, Eloise acts like a puppy even though she's 11. She takes the stairs like a pro, plays with the neighbor puppy very happily and even took a swim in the pond as if she was trying to show us she's better than before 🙂
Thanks again everyone!
Erica

Wow she looks great! Thank you for the update, it's always nice to know that our Tripawd friends are doing well. Yipee!
Just curious, what was the final diagnosis? Last thing I saw was that it was an undiagnosed sarcoma on her leg?

Kami, Angel Mackenzie and Kobe
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Oh! Those eyes are sooooo sweeeet! What an adorable girl! Happy 6 months!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Happy ampuversary, Eloise! You have a beautiful coat. You are certainly holding your age well. You must tell us your secret.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Thank you all so much for the well wishes!
We did find out that Eloise's mass was chondrosarcoma. At 2 months after surgery one of the few pulmonary nodules had grown a few mm and a new small one was seen as well but the remaining ones were unchanged. There is also a mass in her liver that had remained unchanged after 2 months. They did an aspiration and on the report says that it could just be a benign mass, part of the chondro or a different type of carcinoma all together. We elected not to further pursue as we did not wish to do chemo or any other type of treatment anyway for the lung mets.
She happy, eating, running, playing, resting, etc. There really is nothing more we need to explore until she lets us know her health is changing. It's definitely hard not to wonder how fast this is progressing but as long as she keeps showing us that she's ok, that is what's most important.
Thanks again everyone!
Happy Ampuversary, Eloise! Keep on running, playing, eating and getting treats!! We're going to go bug mom for some treats in your honor - we'll help celebrate each day between now and the 8th! And beyond!
Hugs,

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!
