I can get all 3 of mine to roll over at the same time! Although, since we don't do it very often anymore it becomes like a circus! Max will roll over again & again, hoping for a treat each time; Cassie will lay down, roll onto her back, then get back up without rolling over & want her treat (cheater!) ...I guess she figures that now that she's getting old she doesn't have to do the whole thing lol; and Murphy will circle, or back up, and bark, then finally roll over. When we practice a few times & they have enough space, they can do it the right way.

It's actually Elsie I want to teach to roll over, as I figure she'd look like a capsized beetle (I know, but we have to amuse ourselves somehow...)

MUST SEE BOTH!!!!!
Clare- another reason Elsie and Tani were so much alike. Tani never would go on her back until she was 14 years old. I want to see video of you trying with Elsie!
Donna- bring on the circus!! I can't imagine trying to work with three dogs. When Obie joins us for 'school' it is pretty confusing as I'm giving commands to one dog and I can see the other one doing the behavior off to the side and expecting a treat. When I used to try and work with Tani and Obie I would put one in an x-pen so they could see but stay out of the way. Obie did well with that but Tani would bark until released.

Good job Frankie! You got some looooong legs and very limber hips dude
I actually taught Obie the concept in about 30 minutes (after I had tried with Elly on and off for a couple months). It was that time with Obie that finally showed me what I was doing wrong with Elly.

What a great bow, Frankie!!!
OK, here's the circus lol I swear, though, with some practice, they can all do it at the same time!

OMG .... per usual, late to the pawrty but wow!!! She's really amazing! I have been trying to teach Jasper roll over too but she won't do it. She doesn't really like to be on her back and when I get her to down, she goes down to frog pose which makes it tough to flip over. We'll keep working as I would love to have her learn some more tricks. But her basic trick is "frog dog" and "army crawl". 🙂
Happy Birthday too sweet Elly!!! What a great life you have !
XOXO

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
OMD Donna!!!
That is one awesome circus!
You need to take credit for Murphy hoping over Cassie while she rolls. In fact I think you could turn that into quite a routine- sort of a 3 dog weave of hoping and rolling over.
I'll be waiting....

I loved it. I was thinking the same thing Karen that Murphy hopping over Cassie was a great add to the routine 🙂
