a couple weeks ago I turned 6, and today, I turned 11!!! today, may 3, 2010, marks the day I have officially been a tripawd for ELEVEN whole months...WOW!!! People ask me all the time how old I am because they think I am a puppy (they are always surprised to find out my real age) and then they comment on how much energy I have (but my mom thinks its just a polite way of saying i am naughty...whatever). My mom is a little concerned how she will be acting a couple weeks from now, the 1 year date of when she found out i had a bone tumor, but i tell her not to worry about the past...it's not important. All that matters is that I am a happy, healthy, loving, accepting, social, and beautiful puppy (oops i mean dog). Stop on over to my blog and catch a video of me seeing my dad for the first time in 7 months. Thanks for all your "pupport"!!!
<3 Captain Jack
Captain Jack, you are one pawsome pupper! I'm so happy to be able to celebrate your 11th month.
Tell mom that the 1 year mark is really traumatic for humans, but hang in there. I know 12 - 15 months I was really on pins and needles expecting the bad times to come at any point. Now that we are at 17 months, I've calmed down and am able to go back to the layed back one day at a time phylosophy.
Celebrate the good times!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Captain Jack,
We all here are very happy to congratulate you on reaching this great milestone. Wow!! Eleven months is definitelya reason to PAWRTY!! Dad says that this should help inspire all the newcomers that they too can have a return to an excellent quality of life but also enjoy all this "borrowed" time together. We hope that you get extra hugs, extra play time, more treats and my favorite way to celebrate - ICE CREAM. After all, there are worse things than small amounts of ICE CREAM. Dad always made sure that there was no chocolate because chocolate is not good for us. Personally, I preferred Vanilla, Mango, and when in season Pumpkin Pie.
There will be special toasts tonight from Northern California to you special friend up north. Keep on enjoying life and we will be looking forward to the one year Ampuversary. In case you Mom needs ideas, Dad celebrated for three days on my one year Ampuversary. (There was a birthday in there too, but that can be our secret.)
Lots of huggs to all,
Spirit Cherry
Happy Belated 6th birthday and Happy 11 month ampuversary Jackers!!! You are a true inspiration!!
Hope you've been celebrating ALOT cause there's alot to celebrate!!! And your biggest gift of all was getting to see your long lost daddy again! I loved the video... I didn't care that it was fuzzy!!! You must be so happy! I'm sure your mommy is too!!
Angel Jake's Mom

Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
It'll be a rough mid-to-end-of-the-month for me too, Jack. Us humans are crazy, looking back and forward and back and forward - giving ourselves a metaphoric and emotional whiplash! You and Gerry both will tough it out and remember to have fun regardless of what your silly moms are doing and thinking. We'll eventually get a clue and focus on the here and now with you guys.
Congrats on 6 years old, 11 months tripawd, and 10 days with your daddy!!!
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
CONGRATS Pal 🙂
Tell your mum not to worry too much about the one year mark - true, it's emotional for our humans (but hey - what isn't for them right?), but for my mom - it was also llike "WOW" - look what we did!!!!
We wish you many, many more hoppy ampuversaries - sending lots of love and high paws from above.

Jack - you'll always be a puppy to us! Congrats on you big 1-1!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
11 months for Jack? 17 months for Trouble??? Did either of you actually have a condition called OSA? I don't think so.
When "we" (Tazzie) first had the amputation, everyone asked how old he was, in a tone that suggested he was ancient (e.g., 11-12 yrs) and I was insulted. But within a month or two, they asked how old he was in a tone that suggested he was a young 1-2 yr old puppy.
Yes, Jack, you will always be a puppy to us, but please be your crazy self. You were way too calm in the recent video.
Cuz T.
