One year! This Wednesday, May 13th will be one whole year since Domino's surgery. It is also one year since I adopted him. Since I work on Wednesday we celebrated today! We had a blast and lots of cake 🙂
This first year has been a blast. I've learned so much from Dom and he has enriched my life beyond belief. It's very sad to think that if a year ago I hadn't spoken up, that he wouldn't be here. I'm so excited to go to the Tripawds party in VA in 2 weeks to celebrate even more. This community is so important and the road would have been a lot tougher without all of you, so I thank you for that 🙂
Here are a few pics of our celebration today!
Cassie, Domino, Finn and Bounder
The boys Tripawds bandanas also came in today, so they got to wear them 😉
And yes, we had them write "Hoppy 1 Year Ampuversary" on his cake lol
“A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself.”
Domino had his left front leg amputate on May 13th 2014 after being hit by a car. He's now living a happy healthy life on three legs :)
AMAZING!!!! Happy Ampuvesary Domino! Didn't you just hit the family jackpot!?!? So happy to have you on this journey with us, Cassie. You bring wisdom, support and lots of laughter to the family ... we are SO happy you guys are ALL here.
Wish I could be on the east coast next week but I'll be there in spirit and you know Spirit Shelby will be there as well!
Hugs and love!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Hoppy Ampuversary Dom. Way to kick butt. So proud of you.. 🙂 Have fun at the pawty celebrating

Almost impossible that it's been a year! I remember the whole journey so clearly! It would not be here today were it not for you stepping in! To see how happy he is now and to know her would never have seen another day had you not adopted him.....too awful to think about!
Cassie, these pictures are ADORABLE!! Domino is beyond cute in his little scarf znd trying to restrain himself from eating his cake by not looking at it! LOL!!
And Finn in his hat...OMSD! It looks like it's a miniature little hat on that seet big head of his!
I keep scrolling back to look at the pictures because all that cuteness makes me happy!!
I. notice that Bounder doesn't have to wear the hat! It just seems that would be beneath him!!
That is THE finest Ampuversary cake EVER!! Delightful!! I should it to Merry Myrtle and she started drooling...but I think she was looking at Finn instead of the cake!!
HAPPY ONE YEAR AMPUVERSARY AND ADOPTAVERSARY DOMINO!!! Celebrating with ice cream and cake over here!!
Thanks for making my day Domino, Finn and Bounder!!
Love and hugs!
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
I still keep envisioning how cute the puppies would be if Merry Myrtle and Finn got married!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Wonderful news, Domino ! you and your family deserve to celebrate in style. Keep on hopping, little guy.
hugs from Daniela & Johnnie
