Today's Dolittler post announced the following ...
You're invited to take part in a survey that will help assess health and physical activity levels of adults in the U.S. of pet-owners and non-pet owners.
It'll take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete and for every completed survey received, $1 will be donated to various charities (up to $400) that benefit animal welfare, including, the Humane Society of the U.S. and the Best Friends Animals Society.
Dolittler reader Cindy Lentino has developed the study as a graduate student of exercise science at George Washington University. Her master’s thesis deals in pet ownership and human health issues, and that's what we'e all about here at Tripawds! Here’s her pitch for taking the survey...
“You are invited to participate in a research study under the direction of Dr. Amanda Visek of the Department of Exercise Science, at The George Washington University. The purpose of the survey is to assess health and physical activity levels of adults in the U.S. of pet-owners and non-pet owners.
Taking part in this study is entirely voluntary and the questionnaire is anonymous. If you choose to take part in this study, you will be asked to fill out an electronic questionnaire which is estimated to take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. You may stop your participation at any time. Your participation in this research study has the potential to benefit both science and humankind.
While you may not benefit directly from the study, your time is greatly appreciated and for every completed survey received, $1 will be donated to various charities that benefit animal welfare, including, the Humane Society of the U.S. and the Best Friends Animals Society.

Will they distinguish between 'able-bodied' dogs and dogs like our own? There is no way Tazzie or I get the exercise we did pre-amp. Based on our forum conversations, I'd say that goes for everyone.
Even though I take Tazzie to the park 1-2 per day, more time is spent cruising so that he can spot dogs en route than at the park itself. Having a tripawd is not necessarily eco-friendly! Or good for one's waistline.

I doubt it ... but for the "Breed" question, I did enter Three Legged German Shepherd! 🙂

I did the survey, had to enter both Chuy and Gretchen into the breed section. As for the walks, Gretchen broke her collar this morning, so we had to go home. We were only 4 houses away and it snapped! Cheap plastic clasp. She's got a martingale collar on now!
Chuy, showing everyone that Tripawds do everything 3 times better than regular dogs!
I completed it, but I agree with Tazzie that it was hard to know what to put for the exercise. Mac can't go for walks now, but I used to walk him every day, so my answers were for what he used to get since that's the way it's been most of his life. Since I like to be with him now in case he needs something or has an accident I haven't been leaving the house to take a walk....been 5 weeks now...yikes lol.
thanks for letting us know about the survey...a dollar is a dollar
