For the past couple weeks Riley has had a limp tail so after a horrible night with her last night (muscle spasms in her back / legs) - I took her into the vet....
No signs of cancer on her X-rays - nothing showing up in her blood......WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!!!!
Apparently she was having so much fun running up and down her ramp on our camping trip she jammed her spine and tail and its pinching a nerve - she gets massage therapy and chiropractic starting next week.....(and heavy duty muscle relaxers till then)
YIPPY SKIPPY!!!!!!!!!
OH! That is good news!!!!! Happy Hopping over here!!! Paws crossed everything works for her!
Comet took muscle relaxers at bedtime every night for the last 6 months (and Rimadyl). I think the muscle relaxers helped a lot. I wished I had done accupuncture but it was so far away that I just didn't.
Have you tried the Comet spa treatment? You'll get instant results!
Damp dish towel put in the microwave to warm laid on top of the spine and then a heating pad on top (low setting) with lots of heavy towels to hold it all down. I usually put a fan on her and she'd fall asleep with it. It felt good to her.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
That is great news about Riley! Whew, I know this will be hard, but thank goodness it isn't the "C" word again.
Ge'Lena, what a precious photo, she looked so comfy 🙂

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Don't scare us like that Riley! Glad it wasn't anything serious.
Ah, painkillers. Ok now, when you start seeing pink elephants and can't go poo, just remember that it's only temporary. Good luck with the spa treatments, hope you feel better ASAP! (Of course when you do feel better you can always pretend you're not, so that way you can keep getting the Comet Special! Just a thought...)

Hey Ge'Lena, my back's kinda tight. Can I come over?

YAY for Riley! We're doing the happy dance here for you!
And I'm with Shari - are you taking appointments, Ge'Lena? That picture of Comet says it all - she looks so relaxed! Wish someone would do that for me!

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

That's awesome news, Riley. What a worry that must have been.
And just so you know, OUR Riley is an excellent dancer and he's kicking up his heels just for you.
And, Ge'Lena, that is the sweetest picture EVER.
