This fight with cancer and Sammy's day to day moments have been the most poignant days of my life. Because my husband and I don't have children I have never had to make these types of choices for another, to be responsible in this way for another soul. I have learned so much. Sammy and I have a deeper bond, a more beautiful love, a better friendship then I have ever had before. I have been so blessed. I am also grateful in the biggest way to have met so many of you, for all of your friendships, and to know that their are many others out in this world who love their furry family the same way.
To Sammy, thank you for being here with me today to celebrate this one year mark. It means every good thing in the world!

Love Never Ends
Well we are all just waddling along here with all the recent celebrations and treats! This one is so well deserved, Sammy! You are a tripawd hero and the light of many lives. Thank you, Sammy, for sharing your smile and your journey with us. When I see your smile, it makes me smile, too! Congratulations and here's to many, many more!

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/

Not sure how you embedded the video, but we've fixed it for you. All you have to do now is paste the view page URL – not your channel URL – on a line by itself in your post and the video will automatically embed.
Very sweet by the way... congratulations to Sammy!

Oh, Sammy we are so, so, so, so (one more time) SO proud of you! Your mom's video is so special and says everything! We are going to make it a "SAMMY" day here!
As a side note: I couldnt stop laughing this morning when I clicked in....I couldn't wait for the video after all the fanfare in the title! (I was in a hurry and tried to fix it but didn't).
Have a wonderful Ampuversary Day!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Oh, Sammy! It warms my heart to celebrate your big day! One year is a huge milestone, one to really be proud of. I figure there are two significant ones - statistically speaking 3 months & 12 months.
Everything after 12 months is a celebration each and every day. This was the point I was finally able to relax, to enjoy each day we were given. Up to that point, I lived with the fear something would happen.
Wishing you and mom only great days ahead!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Great video! Sammy's so gorgeous!! Hope he is having steak and ice cream to celebrate this extremely momentous occasion!
Big hugs and kisses from Abby,
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Happy, Happy, Happy one year smiling Sammy!!!
Elizabeth- I seem to remember a discussion months ago about whether you would be able to see Sammy's eyebrows go gray. Seems to me in one of those pictures that there is a bit of gray appearing above the eyes to match the gray muzzle... you made it!!!
Treats for the pugs tonight in Sammy's honor.
Karen and the pugapalooza
Thanks so much everyone
Special thanks to Pam, you have been here leading and guiding us with your amazing knowledge and your many hugs. Thanks for all the healing you have given!
Admin, I understand when you said you fixed it. After that, I think you went to some weird otherworldly language. So, thank you for fixing it, you are the best!
Ge'lena, I know, LOL! I sat there after struggling at 4:30 am this morning to get it posted, to see the blank screen. I was sweaty, wrung out from my attempts, and felt very deflated Then, I remembered, you guys are my friends and super smart, I was sure you would make the heebie jeebies stop messing with me. Hugs for the help and the laugh
To all Sammy and my other friends, thanks so much for helping us celebrate today! No ice cream or any other treats because we both have put on too much weight. Today, just tons of hugs and loves, and a good nap. Thinking of you Gayle when we say this.
