The Tripawds site has helped us a lot, and my 14 year old twin daughters would like to donate a watercolor portrait to benefit the Tripawds site. Portraits are hand drawn and painted from your photograph.
They are 8 x 10 and include a blue mat. Other mat colors may be available on request. I am not sure exactly how to set this up, so I will wait for someone from the Tripawds site to contact me.

Pet Portrait Contest Details
Mei Li Designs shall produce one 8"x10" matted custom watercolor pet portrait from a supplied photo to the highest donor.
Click the Bid Now! button below to place your bid in the form of a gift. There is no minimum gift. Place multiple gifts as often as you like, but be sure to use the same email address / PayPal account when you do. (All transactions will be completed at PayPal.com where you can enter your desired bid amount.)
If you wish to place a gift on behalf of someone else, please include their Tripawds username in the comments field before completing the PayPal transaction.
Contest deadline is Midnight, September 30. In the event of a tie for the highest bid, the contest shall be extended by 24 hour periods until a winner is determined.
Tripawds administrators shall track all gifts received and update this topic regularly with the current highest gift. Cumulative gift totals will be calculated for anyone placing multiple gifts. This shall be considered a silent contest, with only the current highest gift amount being announced.
Contest Incentive
Get a custom t-shirt too! If the winning gft is greater than $100, Jerry will create a Custom Tripawds T-shirt featuring the finished full color portrait and the winner shall receive $20 in CaféCash applicable toward the purchase of this shirt or any other item(s) in the Tripawds Gift Shop.

It has come to our attention (ahem, thank you etgayle!) that calling this an "auction" may be a bit misleading. So, for clarification purposes...
All "bids" are non-refundable contributions made at the time of bidding via the PayPal Donations screen.
The "bidder" who contributes the largest amount, or with the highest amount of combined contributions at the end of the "auction" wins the portrait. In short, by placing a "bid" you are contributing to the Tripawds community. If you contribute the most via the Bid Now button above by the deadline of Midnight, Thursday, September 30, you win!

She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

See "silent auction" comment above. We will update this topic everytime a contribution/bid is made, but we will not identify "bidders" by name. So, readers following this topic will always know what the current highest bid is, just not who made it, until we announce the winner.

Wow, the girls are fabulous artists! This is very exciting! Thank you for the wonderful "auction"!!
Thank you so much! We adopted Kaitlyn & Jessica when they were 11 months old. They never really colored like other kids did. When they were two years old, they would both draw lines, arcs and circles inside of the coloring book line art instead of coloring the pictures. We had no idea why they did this, and then around three they started drawing, and they have amazed us ever since.
Kaitlyn and Jessica both struggled for years with significant speech and language issues – verbal apraxia, mixed expressive receptive language disorder and central auditory processsing disorder. They had 7 years of private and school based speech and language therapy. When they were too shy to talk to other kids because of their speech issues, the drawing ability really helped them connect with others. Wherever they went other kids would ask them to draw for them.
They both want to study art in college, so anytime they can create art for other people it is a good experience for them.
