Well Miss Dizzy has finished her course of chemo she is a bit quiet sleeping on the sofa but we are so happy it's done. So blood test in 4 weeks to check her bloods. As far as we are concerned now we don't want to know if it spreads because what more could we do for her if it had. So positive thoughts for the future for my beautiful girl.
If she follows the same pattern as previous treatments we have 5 days of low energy and her being picky about what she eats.
I have already had a tail wag from her.
In a couple of weeks i will look at chaning her diet to a recommended diet for dogs with cancer. we are hoping to make it to the beach or lake on thursday if she has the energy and if the weather is ok and i will hope to take the camera.
Dizzy diagnosed with osteosarcoma 24 may 2011 amputated same day doing fine hopping around on three legs giving the neighbourhood cats what for

Congrats! I think that calls for some steak & ice cream when she feels better.
Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
The day you finish chemo is always a good day. That means you can begin to enjoy each day you are given knowing you have done your very best to buy quality time.
Congrats to both of you!
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Hooray for the end of chemo. Abby's last treatment was the one where she ended up being the most tired (which of course makes sense since those treatments add up) so it took her a bit longer to be back to her usual self, but I'm sure your sweet girl will be ready for celebrating soon!
And, yeah, steak and ice cream sounds like a good way to celebrate to me!
All the best,
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
