Just wanted to send a quick note to everyone that I went for my 1 year check-up on Monday, May 23rd.
It was a couple months late because of Mommy's surgery and recovery time.
They took x-rays of my chest, lymph nodes and a complete blood work-up. As expected, I aced all of my tests - no sign of that nasty "C" word!!
My check-ups are now moved to every 6 months instead of 3. Dr. Greene, Angel and Melanie were so excited for me, they gave me a new bandana. The color green of course, since it is my favorite and hello, my doctor's name is "Greene." Just perfect!!
If you know my pawrents, they are a little, ok a lot crazy. They like to make up songs and rhymes about me. I'll have to get Mommy to video tape the "Ginger Snap" song that Daddy likes to sing to me. So in honor of being rid of cancer, they like to say that I have been "cancer free since '93." Now that isn't really true since I have only been cancer free since April of 2010, but I still find it funny. Crazy pawrents ?!?
So my fellow tripawds and tripawd lovers, get out those treats and help me celebrate. My first choice is always french fries but I'll let you pick your fav.

Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Holy cow! Way to go, Ginger! I am so impressed!
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Kami, Angel M, Kobe and Scarlett
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Way to go Ginger!!! I LOVE cancer free! Ranger says I should go get him a cheeseburger and fries, but he already ate dinner so I told him I would get them tomorrow (and a car ride to boot!) Here's to 13 months, 14 months, 15 months (well, you get the idea.)
Lisa, Ranger, Spirit Sadie, and the Monkeysister
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.
