Hey Guys!
Brian and I are doing alright. Day by day and week by week. That first month without Charlie was very hard, and I still cry remembering him. I wanted to reach out to you all and say thank you so much, you guys helped Brian and I so much during those 5 crazy months- from finding out Charlie had bone cancer, to amputation, to all the crazy 3 legged pup stories, to finding cancer had metastasized to his lungs.. to finally his rest. I hope all of you are doing well!!
Since we are missing having a furry pup, we are thinking of starting a dog walking service for our apartment complex. We are doing this to honor Charlie's memory and of course get time with furry puppies!
Love to you all!

P.S here are a few photo's you guys haven't seen of our crazy angel
This is when we were getting Charlie from the SPCA 🙂
and this too
This last picture I took the morning before he was at rest
I wanted to say hi to you guys and Im sorry for Charlies passing...
My baby Zeus' birthday was 12/1. He was dx'd with the wrong type of cancer in 11/15, Fibrosarcoma.
I did the amp but not the chemo because Fibro doesnt usually metastisize. So it was a shock that I learned when I brought him to the vet (for being somewhat lethargic), and learned from a Vet Oncologist from a 3rd pathology report no one told me about. His regular vet and surgeon stated it was Fibro.
So I didnt have too many options except trying to build his immunity, keep him comfortable, love him.
He went quick. Im understandably heartbroken, he died 2/2/16 under traumatic circumstances.
Im ok. Getting stronger..I know Zeus and Charlie are having a blast at the bridge.
Love
Deb, Belle and Angel Zeus
((((HUGS))))) thank you for checking in. I know how hard it is.... the first several months! I think that is lovely that you want to honor Charlie by starting a dog walking business. I know how therapeutic it can be to be around dogs.... It will help them and help heal your heart.
And I love ALL those photos!!! So much love in all of them!!!
Sending love ....

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Ohhhh sweet Angel Charlie's smile in those photos just brightened my week. Thank you for the photos!

I'm so glad you came back to let us know how you're doing. Yes, it's tricky when you're without your co-pilot. Everything feels just so ... blah. But if you can do something really constructive and helpful with your grief, like starting that dog walking service, you will feel sooooo much better. Just knowing how much Charlie loved to see you both happy would inspire you to new heights. It's the whole reason why we kept Tripawds going after Jerry passed, we knew he could keep helping others in many different ways. It's the same for Charlie and all those doggies who need some extra lovin when their people are at work all day.
Share as many pics as you'd like, Charlie was one of a kind and always will be. Sending lots of hugs to you both!

I didn't think it was possible to melt my heart anymore each time I saw a picture of gentle Soul Charlie. Each time I was srong, it melted more!
And now these photos.....OMD!!! A huge lake of melted heart over here!!! The photos where he picked you and Brian....off the charts with ADORABLENESS!!! Look how connected Charlie is with Brian! A d then he looks over at you with the camera with the "I'm yours and you are .I e" look!! Ne was born to be with you and he knew it!! Even the picture as he was gettkng ready to rid himself of his earth clothes....such a wisdom about him, such a "I'm okay" .message he see.s ro be sending to you as he gazes so appreciably.
The way you are honoring him is just perfect! Paying tribute in such a lofe affirming way to a dog who touched the lives of everyone he met, including all.of his tripawd fa.ily who fell in love with him with his first post is definitely something that makes Charlie happy!!
Thank you so much for sharing this extended adve ture of Charlie with us. We look forward to hearing more about how things are going. AND, we always look forward to hearing.more.abput out Charlie...with pictures of course!!
I know your heart is still broken and the void is still huge. For some reason though, I think Charlie is contemplating who he is going to send you next so another dog can know what love feels like.....just sayin'!
