It makes us so proud to announce Brandy's big 1 year Ampuversary! We could not have gone as far as we have without all of the help, joy and friendship you all have brought Brandy and our family. I am brought to tears just writing this. We have had one heck of a year and Brandy is so happy and doing very well.
On this day we also ask everyone to keep their fingers and paws crossed for Brandy. As I write this, she is at the vet for her big check up...we are getting the works done, chest x-rays, blood work, and they are also looking at one of Brandy's remaining legs where she had a hairline fracture a few months back. We hope to get the cancer all clear and hopefully her remaining leg is okay!
Again, our family thanks you all from the bottom of our hearts, you are all angels in our book God bless you all!
Lots of Love,
Teresa (Brandy's Auntie), John & Linda (Brandy's Mom and Dad), Maggie & Jake (Brandy's goofy Rottie siblings), Angel, Coco and sofie (Brandy's other canine siblings)
Thanks for the update! here's to many, many more Hoppy Ampuversaries!

Way to go Brandy!!! Good luck with the checkup! Chloe is going in for her yearly physical next weekend, so our fingers will be crossed for you as well!!!
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Yaaay! Brandy, congratulations on overcoming so many hurdles and making it to one year!! All milestones are impawtant but one year puts you in the top percentage of miracle dawgs! Congratulations!
For anyone not familiar with Brandy's story, here it is in a nutshell. Brandy experienced a bad infection with her incision, lameness and all sorts of challenges immediately after surgery. It was a scary, ruff road but she came through it with flying colors.
Brandy, thank you for being here to show us that even when faced with scary post-op situations, all things are pawsible. Yay!!!!

Thank you all for your kind words, our family is so happy to have all of you in our lives...
Well, we just got the call from the vet and Brandy passed all her tests with flying colors!! Her chest x-rays were clear, her blood work was perfect and the bump on her back leg is not cancer. The vet says it looks like it may be a pulled muscle so she is on deramaxx for the time being to bring down the swelling. We are so happy
This past year was ruff for sure, but being able to enjoy it with our girl has been priceless. Had we not found Tripawds.com, we would not have gone the amputation route. All of your help and encouragement has been so greatly appreciated.
This weekend we are throwing a little party for Brandy....she will enjoy a steak dinner and sip Mai Tai's in the pool.

Kami & Angel Mackenzie
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
