My son, upon seeing Boomie relaxing with his head slung over the arm of the chair, laughed, "Boomie's head looks like a clock."
"Like a clock?"
"You know, like a Salvador Dalí clock."
Well, when you put it that way, I guess he does look like a clock!
Boomie is just 2 days away from the 2 and a half year anniversary of his amputation, and he can still hoist his old carcass up on the chair all by himself. If Boomie is a clock, I hope he keeps tickin' for a long time.
Cindy and Boomie
Boomie's leg was amputated due to osteosarcoma on May 15, 2008. He enjoyed over two and a half years of life after that, one day at a time. He died on Feb. 21, 2011.
Hoppy almost 2.5 year ampuversary!!! We hope he keeps tickin' for a long time too!!!
It's funny what poses they get into...my dog slept on the floor next to my bed the other day and had her head under the bed. She looked like a headless tripawed... Makes you wonder what goes through their minds!!!
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
congrats on a major ampuversary!!! it brings tears to our eyes to see the result of really 'studying the nap' and learning to 'take the nap to the next level'. really beautiful.
gayle & charon
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends

OH! What incredible news! That's too amazing for words! Super congrats Boomie!
But I have to ask...is your son in Mensa? He knows a Salvador Dali painting!! And here I thought the kids of today were mush minds!
May you have many more happy ampuversaries, Boomie!
Comet's mom
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Well, he knows that painting. Doesn't everyone know that painting? Come on, it's the melting clocks! (actually it's called The Persistence of Memory) My son is a well-educated 24 year old who may indeed qualify for Mensa for all I know, but he's not a member.

Yeay Boomie! You are INCREDIBLE!
Now, pardon me if I'm spacing here, but didn't you say you're in Northern CA? If so, will you join us for our Tripawds pawty next week?

Well I got half of the story right! Ok then, will we see you in December? We are working on a get together I think on 12/19. Comet, is that correct? Since you're buying all the beer and donuts I figured you'd know.
