ok, for those of you who aren't bombarded by me on facebook....here are some photos taken of gayle and me, by julie poole photography. if you are anywhere within driving distance of knoxville, i highly recommend scheduling a photo shoot with julie - she is a dog person, who gets dog photography!
(and, admin, since i don't know if i've done this right, please help me with the link if it doesn't work.....thanks!)
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
You're both beautiful!
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
It's just amazing and we are so in awe of our two special gals!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Sammy is floating on air right now, hearts in his eyes. He keeps saying my girlfriend the super model this and super model that. Wow, you both look wonderful! I love the sweater.
I didn't know Gayle is still "grey faced free", she is a beauty! Sammy keeps sniffing her letter, and bragging to his brother how his girl is "smokin".
I love the pics, 🙂

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
thanks so much, we had such a great time doing this - if you can swing going for a photo shoot, we highly recommend it!! yes sammy, gayle is almost 12 but she doesn't have any grey hair (her sister can't say that....) and thanks elizabeth, that was a sweater i knitted last year, the yoke is sheep lined up around a fence. my brother suggested i call this sweater (yes i name them) 'there'll never be another ewe'....while i thought of naming it 'when farm boys dream'....

What wonderful pictures!
A friend whose dogs modeled for the Care-a-lot catalog once told me that the reason that you rarely see black dogs in pet catalogs and on pet foods is because they are difficult to photograph because they are so dark. Clearly (and good thing), this photographer did not get that memo!
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Those photo's are so beautiful they make me cry, Charon!!!! The photographer did EXCELLENT work!
Tracy, Maggie's Mom
Maggie was amputated for soft tissue sarcoma 10-20-09
Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
What great pictures!! Gayle and her sister look so happy together - just beautiful!
Kami, Angel Mackenzie, Kobe and Scarlett
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
