Tracy, any more good ideas for tricks? Anyone else? We can still do
"high five", but we wil NEVER EVER roll over. Even on three legs, he
would prefer to do a sudden flip onto all threes than actually roll
over.

Let's see...here's Maggie's repertoire of tricks!(some require props)
* Spin & twist - can do this in front of me and at heel on both sides of me - when in heel she spins away from me.
* Shake - hard to do but can do it now - with one paw only...
* Back up - TOUGH to do! But also a good rehab trick 😉
* Put her toys away - in the toy basket
* "Tell me" - bark on cue
* Stand with front feet on a 'perch' and pivot around it - like a circus dog - also one of Maggie's rehab moves
* Buja board - sits/stands/downs, get on the board with the "up end" in the air and jump up on it
* Tippy plank - it is a small seesaw from Maggie's pre-agility training days
* Low ladder - PVC made ladder about 4" off ground and Maggie hops thru each rung
* Hoops - hula hoops on frames so they will stand up - she goes thru them set up in different ways(serpentines,pinwheels,threadles,270's)
* Cones - weave around 4 cones(Rally move) and also send around one cone from a distance
Tricks she used to do must no longer 🙁
* Sit pretty
* Bow
Alot of the Rally-obedience moves are really sorta like tricks, only you are part of the trick too(dog is in heel position). Things like:
* 270 turns to left or right
* 360's to left or right
* 180's to left or right
* 90 degree turns from a sit (TOUGH!) going right or left
* Left about turn
That's all I can think of right now! 😉 You know, if you check out http://www.wagitgames.com you can find all sorts of ideas to play with your dog! Maggie is entered in the very first trial in November for this new venue!!
Have fun!!

Congrats, Ajax!
Holly's shape has definitely changed a little - the vet and I think it's been a change in her muscles to support her better. She still sits and lays down (sitting is still hard on wood floors). She will try to give me a paw, but it's brief. She can speak on command. And - this isn't an intentional trick - she has been known to open the rear window in Dave's car, which always amazes me! She used to jump on command, and when we go to the pet store she still tries to do that - but it doesn't work too well with only 1 rear leg (kinda like a pogo stick?).
Anyway, how pawsome you're now a therapy dog! Way to go!!!
Hugs,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!
