Earlier this evening, I was shooting some video of Jill just to share with you all, just a fun video of her, hopping around. Well. Low and behold, she knows the cameras on and this happens (pay attention to the end of the video):

Now, for those of you that don't watch her like a hawk if you notice, there are lots of pillows next to the bed, because, for 7.5 months, she has not been able to get on the bed without the help of jumping first on a big pillow, then on the bed. So tonight for the first time since her amputation, 7.5 months ago, she LEAPED onto the bed, no help, nothing. I am so happy, I started tearing up. I honestly just gave up the thought that I'd ever take those pillows off the floor, and it honestly didn't even bother me. But seeing her do that tonight, I'm so full of pride I could burst
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Well, I wish I was going to Manhattan too!
Way to go Jill! What an amazing kitty you are. Erica, I would be tearing up too. I'm glad I got to see the video.
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
YESSS! When I saw this post (and your blog headline) I was hoping that's what you were going to tell us. YIPEEEEEE!

Way to go beautiful Jill! What a great leap onto the bed:) Thanks for sharing her cuteness!
Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.
DEEEEEAAAARRRR JIIIILLLLYYYY!!!
HOORAY FOR YOU THE LEAPING CAT! TRIPAWDS CAN DO ANYTHING!
WHEN I FIRST COMED TO LIVE WITH MOMMY SHE THINKED SHE WOULD HAVE TO PICK ME UP TO PUT ME ON THE COUCH AND THE BED BUT SHE DID NOT. I CAN JUMP ON ANYTHING. I CAN EVEN JUMP ON MY FRIEND RANDYS WHEELS CHAIR AND IT IS UP VERY HIGH. WE ARE SUPER ANIMALS! GOOD FOR YOU.
WITH LOVE FROM YOUR BOYFRIEND
Hey, Jill! How long have you been practicing that when nobody is looking??
Good job!
Love, Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
