Hi everyone!!
I know it has been forever since we touched base and we apologize, but we have been so busy!
For those of you who don't know us. Cody was diagnosed with osteosarcoma on February 20, 2014 and we amputated his back right leg on February 21, 2014. We did not do traditional chemotherapy, instead we have been doing homeopathic treatments with Dr. Loops out of North Carolina.
Since we last checked in we have moved... again.. we FINALLY purchased our first home! We were always nervous that Cody wouldn't be able to make this move with us, but he DID and he loves our new home
AND today is a huge day for Cody. Today is cody's EIGHT month ampuversary!! EIGHT MONTHS!!! Can you believe it?!?!?! I can't... I just can't. Where has the time gone?? Cody is doing great! We did notice some cracking of his joints when he stands sometimes, so we got him some joint supplements and are making sure he takes it easy when playing. We have noticed that every once in a while he will cough.. but it is so sparatic. Like maybe once a month.. That's how rare it is. None the less my heart skips a beat every time and Dr. Loops told us to just keep an eye out and track it when it happens. Cody still weighs the same, is eating and drinking just fine and is still as spunky as ever!
Cody also celebrates his birthday this month.. EIGHT years! So today was extra special! Check out our blog post for some updated pictures
I've been trying to collect some good videos of Cody. I have three I really think you all will enjoy! Please ignore my annoying voice
I like to call this one "Cody vs. baby toad"
feature=youtu.be
Then there is "Cody vs. Houdini"
feature=youtu.be
and FINALLY a howling video.. he always stops when we get the camera out so we had to improvise. But he howls on a daily basis
feature=youtu.be
We hope everyone is doing amazing! Love and Hugs from our pack to yours!
Cody is our 7 year old Australian Heeler mix boy. Diagnosed on 2/20/14 and became a tripawd 2/21/14! We chose a homeopathic approach and he is being treated by Dr. Loops our of NC.
WOW... great to hear from you all!!! Congrats on the new home and congrats to Cody! 8 months!!! a real inspiration!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

WOOHOOOO!!!!
Oh my DOG it's just so great to see Cody and all of you, congratulations on livin' large and loving life!!!! I'm so happy to hear about all the excitement in your life, that's so cool.
The toad video is my fave. I LOVE seeing Cody and the pack, which, by the way, is VERY well behaved if they can play together like that and nopawdy loses an eye. Impressive!
Rock on, love these updates.
