Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
Thanks guys! Jack has always been a jumper, but I don't think he ever attempted anything that high before, even as a quadrapod. As far as getting down, well, that's what the Ruff Wear harness is for. It's funny cuz I got it thinking I would need to use it to help Jack walk, but I actually use it to help him down off high things (it's fun! it looks like he's flying when I lift him down!) and to keep him back when he wants to run and jump on someone...the harness is my way to control my wild animal!!! I'm not quite sure that's what they had in mind when they invented it...and as far as keeping up with him when he had 4 legs, he actually really IS faster and fiestier on 3 legs...it's not just a saying! But, I think it has more to do with the fact that he had cancer growing for almost a year before we discovered it - kinda slows a dog down, darn osteosarcoma!!!
