Well, tomorrow is Jack's 8 month ampuversary (i have school then work, so I won't be able to post this on the actual anniversary date). I was giddy at 2 months, thrilled at 4 months, surprised at 6 months, and now I'm stunned at 8 months. After all the info I had read, I never believed he'd still be here today...never. And not only is he still kickin', but he's so darn energetic! Sometimes I'm confused about why he still gets to stick around while others have left us after a couple months. I hope that someday someone somewhere will be able to positively increase the odds for all our fur babies 🙂 Jack posted a video on his blog, but for some reason it didn't show up on the recently updated blog thingy...so I'll post the link here! Thanks, for the 8th time, for all your support, laughter, tears, kind words, and encouragement. We are truly a one of a kind community

Eight months IS a biggie. YAY JACKERS!! GO JACKERS!!
But I missed the part of the video that showed how you got down from that big wall, or how your mom got up it. Good thing you have her on a long stretchable leash since she can't keep up with ya!
Have a great ampuversary week Jack!
Tazzie's Susan
Happy Ampuversary, Captain Jack! I love your video. Newbies need to watch you jump the wall! Have a great day and get spoiled!
Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
I think the big question is...how did you keep up with the Jackers when he had 4 legs! Yikes!
Congrats!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Captain Jack,
We are so very glad to hear you will be reaching your 8 month ampuversary. It does sound like you will need to be celebrating for two days, but then this is one great milestone. Dad says that we will be celebrating vicariously with your family which means a ride this morning with Dad, as well as a toast tonight. I hope that you will again get to do something that you really love, lots of hugs, have extra special treats and . . . ICE CREAM! I never pass up an opportunity to have Ice Cream.
Tell you Mom that we are very pleased that she realizes how very special these milestones are and never misses an opportunity to enjoy being together. I am afraid that she will run out of adjectives as she passes the one year mark. I am also sure that this is one problem that she will love having.
