Hi all - today Holly is celebrating her 2 year ampuversary! She's asking all of her tripawd friends to have a treat with her. We'll be lighting a candle for all of the tripawds who share this day with Holly - Tehya, Miss Cherry and Mackenzie, plus all of our other heroes.
She's a little grumpy today since she's got to be a conehead for the day - she's got a sore just above her stump that she's been licking way too much, and we can't get into the vet until 5pm! I'm sure it's nothing, but she won't let me get near it to take a good look. So poor little girl is trying to stay as Jolly as she can - but it's tough with the darn cone getting in the way.
Best wishes for a great 2012 to all of our tripawd friends!
Hugs,
Holly Jolly by Golly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Whoohoo! Two years!!! Bummer about the cone head though. Hope she gets extra treats for that.
Today is our Abby's 14 months, so they are ampuversary buddies.
Hope Holly has a great 2012!
Jackie, Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
Two years! Such good news, I love reading about our survivors, especially little miss Holly 🙂 We celebrate with you, I will give the boys TWO treats and tell them it is for our Holly girl!
We hope she is doing just fine with the sore, maybe it's a pressure point? Sammy licks his when they bother him, so we'll send good prayers and thoughts your way for health and hope it isn't serious.
Congrats 🙂

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
Hoppy, hoppy ampuversary, Holly. Sorry you have to spend your special day wearing the cone of shame , but like Jackie said, maybe that warrants a few extra treats.
All our best wishes for a super hoppy New Year!

YAY for TWO YEARS!!! Wow, time flies when you're kickin' cancer's behind! Yah Holly!!!!
I second Karen's idea of using the cone as a treat dispenser.

Kami, Angel Mackenzie, Kobe and Scarlett
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Oh Holly Jolly by Golly! We miss you so much but we are so very happy that you are celebrating the big, and I mean BIG two year mark!!!
We celebrate with string cheese tonight in your honor!!!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
2 years is fantastic!!! Brilliant Holly
Hope your leg gets better quickly so the lampshade can be removed pronto!!

SPirit Chili Dawg
Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.
Congrats Holly!!! Gerry's going to get one of his favorite rabbit-flavored treats later tonight in your honor. Heck, probably two.
Good luck with the itchy on your bum!
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.
Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com
