Boincer is hoooooooome! YAY!
Yeah, the not peeing and not pooping yet can be upsetting...to you, but it's ot bothering Bouncer! Remember, he's still pretty messed up n hospital meds. Hr'll figure every thing out pretty shortly.
Will probably have a few restless nights with whining ahead...or not! Evey dog is different!
Remember, we are here for you! No one goes this journey alone here!!
Welcome home Boncer!
Hugs and as much shut-eye as possible to all tonight!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Bouncer is doing well today. Somewhat restless last night but slept well (as we all did).
He’s alert, barking a bit and playing with his toys. It’s pretty amazing that he gets around as well as he does considering the surgery was Wednesday. He doesn’t fall nearly as much and is able to hop up/down a short 4 inch single step out the front door.
Sent some pics of his surgical wound to the Vet and she said it’s looking good. Still not peeing or having a BM but Vet said this is not unusual. He’s eating well and drinking water which is always a good sign.
Right now he is laying out on the deck looking around (one of his fav things to do). We’ve blocked off all stairs inside and outside the house so he won’t try to go up/down (which he tries to do occasionally).
Getting ready to give him his next round of med’s and treat the wound, then we’re going to relax and watch some football!
I slept 11 hours last night (wife “stood watch” downstairs) and when I got up I was still tired. What a week! Guess my old age is catching up with me.
I’ve tried to attach some pics with Photo Bucket, hope they work. Here’s the link:
YAAAAAAY! I sawBouncer's slide show! What an adorable pup!! He grew to be quite a big fella' from his puppy icture!
Now, photobucket jusy showed three pics, ks that all in tne "show"? I just want to make sure I didn't miss anything! He's sooooo cute! And, from the photo, the incision really does look good. Happy Hannah's was very, very red, vlue, swollen, seroma , etc!
Sounds like you and your wife have a good system worked out. It's just mself with my dogs and, honest to goodness, I don't think I slept more than five hours totoal the first four or five days! Talk about aging fast! And already had a head start! Your turn on the couch tonight!
Okay Bouncer, kt's tkme to get the pee stream going, okay? We need another celebration! As far as pooping, many have tried pumpkin and that seems to do the trick! And we get to celebrate again!
Thanks for the pictures! Brightened my day! Look forward to more!!
Hugs to Bouncer for us!

Oh it's great to hear that Bouncer is home and on the road to recovery. Yep, not pooping is normal (try adding a bit of olive oil, steamed pumpkin or metamucil to help move things along) and he'll get the hang of urinating the three-legged way. We hope things continue to go well. Hang in there and be a strong pack leader, you're doing great.
You know there's another member here who's getting treated at UT also, I hope they'll chime in because I can't recall who it is (sorry!) but hey maybe when everyone's healed up you can have a pawty!

Bouncer is perfect! Oh man, is he cute! I've got a thing for black and white pups, though... Welcome home, Bouncer! I'm glad to hear he's doing so well.

ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Go Bouncer! That's a pretty good update! I'll bet your pawrents probably weren't even all that mad that you pooped in the house, they probably did the poopy dance right?!
Sounds like you're on your way big boy!

We're all glad to hear that Bouncer is doing great! Too bad that BM happened inside the house, LOL, but now I let Barret get away with murder cuz he's so darn adorable on 3 legs. Keep us updated and post some pictures
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
