Shelby is scheduled to have the last test for her Social/Therapy dog certification this Saturday at 11AM PST.
The test should last about 20 to 25 minutes and if we pass we will be certified and we can start the hospital and VA rehab visits. She will do just great, she did so on the run through about a week ago. It's me I'm concerned about. Our instructor always told us the dogs never make mistakes, it's always the trainers fault!
There are 16 behaviors she has to perform. I know some of the behaviors she will get some "latitude" on because of her "situation." That means they will cut us a little slack because she's a tri-pawd. We'll bring Shelby home and then turn around and take our border collie, Penny, in at 1:30. Cindi will run Penny through the test and they will do just fine, "piece of cake" as Cindi says .
After everybody finishes, I think a visit to Fosters Freeze for a small vanilla ice cream cone would be in order! A small but well earned victory treat!
So, if you remember on Saturday, I sure would appreciate the help, i don't want to disappoint our "little girl."
On the calendar and it will not be forgotten. Hopefully you will be feeling all the positive thoughts that we send from Northern California. I used to have two white Standard Poodles who were litter mates and I showed in AKC obedience trials. I told them that if they both qualified in both Open B and Utility B at the same show, I would treat for a quarter pounder each. Normally, half of the dogs qualify in each event so by statistics that would mean about a 25% chance. Not so. They both qualified in both events at the same show approximately 75% of the time after the celebration promise. So, promise the Fosters Freeze and you will be surprised at the results. Also, I tried to get them into the local VA hospital but received a very rude NO. So, you go girl and show them how good a lift such a visit will be to our veterans.

Thanks to everyone for the good thoughts, crossed paws, prayers, wishes and everything else, thanks again for the support.
Penny and Cindi just left to take their test...I can taste the ice cream already, I think I'll live on the wild side and get a half vanilla half chocolate cone.
Thanks again!

We were thinking of you and sending all the pawsetive thoughts we could. Never a doublt about how great our TriPawd heros are and how they came come through for us. Also, I tried to warn you about the treat promise but if you are like me, the celebration is as much for a proud pawrent as it is for our "children"

We knew you could do it Sheby. Congratulations!
Now don't eat your diploma. Do you get nifty license with your picture on it too? Jerry got one which we used to help get him into many places other than where we went for therapy visits.
