I can not believe it is a month now since Pip our greyhound joined your pack.
She is amazing and already back to her old self.I havent had to help her once she just wont let us, she has learnt the best way to get up and down and has done it all since day one.We are back doing long walks in our local park where she is a minor celebrity.
She flirts with everyone showing off how clever she is.I do shut my eyes and hold my breath when she runs, I guess because you know she cant afford another injury.Donald our other grey has been fantastic throughout, giving her extra space and letting her take over his bed.He will now though wind her up in a game of chase.almost egging her on and he never normally runs anywhere.
Today for the first time she has been playing with her toys , and to me that was the final bit in letting me know that I have my old dog back.
Great update. She's doing wonderfully. The celebrity status is an ongoing thing, get used to it. They create attention wherever they go, and most of them have the personality to drag the most out of it.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Amazing how resilient these guy are, if only we could bounce back like that if we had to go through the same thing!!!! It's such a great feeling to have them be themselves again. Enjoy, Paws up, Spirit Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
Sounds like Pip is doing wonderfully. Tripawds do seem to attract a bit of attention to themselves. I have met so many nice folks when out with Fortis at the swimming hole, park, or just sitting outside of a Starbucks. I'm so happy that Pip is doing well. Thanks for the great update.

That's excellent news!
SO, so happy to hear about Pippa!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Yay for new milestones!!! I too get worried when Chloe tries to run around and play with other dogs because I just hope that nothing happens to that remaining back leg. They really are insipiring and resilient and we hope Pippa continues to do well!!!

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
