We've been M.I.A for a few weeks (crazy busy around here) but I wanted to give everyone an update on my little guy 🙂
He's had his stitches out for about 3 weeks now, the incision is almost completely healed and the hair is growing back in. His spirits are back to normal and he runs around our house like nothing ever happened! If it weren't for the physical evidence, you'd never know he was a TriPawd 🙂 He loves playing fetch again with his favorite toy ....his chewed up frisbee 🙂
We had our first experience with other people. He ran up to a man in the neighborhood and the guy asked "what happened to his leg?" I said "he had cancer" and his reply was..... "he sure can run fast!"
Yes sir, yes he can 🙂
We feel so grateful and truly blessed to have our little guy back, pain free 🙂
Thank you all so much for your support!
Piper taking me for a walk around
the neighborhood 🙂

Jackie, Angel Abby's mom
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
That's wonderful news. Glad to hear he is doing so well.
Karen and Spirit Magnum
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
Yeah Piper! I can't begin to tell you how happy I am to hear that your little guy is doing well! Lupe and Piper had the surgeries around the same time so to hear how well he is doing just makes me smile.
Keep it up Piper!!!

Good boy Piper!
I'd wondered where you were and kind of held my breath. I'm glad you were MIA because there just wasn't enough time in your busy life to check in! That's the best kind of update.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

WOW Piper! You should like you are doing super duper! We are really happy to hear you are back to playing fetch!
Schnauzers fetch? That's where MBBVP gets it! He's Schnauzer and Beagle supposedly...Schneagle.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Thanks everyone!!
Yes, he's great at playing fetch! Although he usually likes for me to chase him around after he's fetched it 😉
Don't worry, Suzie. I snuggle him up enough for all of us! <3
He sure is a special little guy. I'm so proud of him!
The vet's office has nicknamed him Lieutenant Dan (from Forest Gump)
I find that hilarious
Lieutenant Dan! That is hilarious!
